how do i get rid of the name on top of the player

and

is there any way to reduce lag

there is no way to reduce lag apart from stopping other processes and programs that are accessing the internet in the background (in otherwords.. leave you dling programs off or IE). also dont run any other memory hungry programs in the back ground (such as video editing). also.. avoid playing people who live half way across the world.... otherwise you will have a large ping... if you are using 56K dial up.. then bad luck you will lag 24/7 when you play online.

press start button during the game to access pause menu. then select "player settings" (guess it must be called something like this, i don't exactly know as i am playing with the german language version). when the new menu opens press the "circle" button on your gamepad and change the setting to "standard" or to "A" or "B".
