I've added this as a solution in the PC Troubleshooting thread but if more people could give feedback on Piggeh's post and how many of you it works for, that'd be great.

turned every thing off baring wireless which i use for internet, even bluetooth, no luck, dont know if i got any further mind cause ive never seen the message, 'game is now in progress' and the logo change to a football, just got that twice trying to connect

guess what, jus played my first online game, dont know how, but did, hoping to go back and have on against a mate now, didnt change anything since turning all other connections off, very funny, hope it stays like this, graphics been a bit funny still, lag was just about bareable
