^^^You have to have a PS2, max drive, ps3 and a ps3/ps2 memory card adaptor($15). Put the max drive save on a ps2 memory card like you usually would then use the ps3/ps2 memory card adapter to put it on the ps3. I know its a pain in the ass but its the only way.

B*gger! Got to be an easier way surely.

Hope someone finds one before 23rd March when us poor, overlooked europeans get their hands on PS3.

Already got mine on 'guarenteed' reserve. Suffering major impatience!

Don't hold your breath at the thought of playing any PS2 games such as PES6 on the PS3, what with assholes Sony modifying the the European & Aus PAL units to remove hardware emulation for PS2 backards compatibilty. Wankers ... utter wankers!

The backwards compatibility has been flawed anyway due to them just thinking they could put in the actual PS2/1 components and expect them to play games rather than actually testing them out. Sony are on a slippery slope to hell, they gotta tread carefully from now on and actually give the public what they want rather than only being money grabbing fuckers otherwise they'll turn into EA. :\

Iam sure there will be some very bright bloke out there that will have a solution, there must be a way given all the data save options we have at our disposal, i have a max drive, and the ps3 should be able to handle most incoming data. None of us know for sure yet. Roll on the 23rd March.

PES6 on PS3

The problem is PS3 doesn't recognize .MAX files

You can play PS2 version of PES6 on PS3, but you have to go online first to update your PS3-system.
Then you can save the original PS2 option file on PS3.
You can also copy this original option file to MAX-drive.
When you link your MAX-drive to your PC it has a .PSV file on it.

So you have to find someone who can convert .MAX to .PSV

I also have a regular USB memory stick, but I haven't tried it.

hi
but we have still a problem on how convert a max file into a psv file.

there's no way of converting a .max save to a .psv save, it's simply impossible because the .psv saves the ps3 generates are digitally signed, whereas the .max saves are not. The only way to get your ps2 save over to the ps3 is the ps2 memory card adapter, nothing else.
