Option Files

I am unsure whether this has been asked a lot of times before, but is it possible to get a option file onto a memory stick, and then add the data into the PS2?

no you can't

you can't use normal usb.
you need to get maxdrive in order to transfer data to ps2.
you can also burn cue/bin files on a cd and then add the data to your ps2.

If I get a blank disc and download an option file onto my pc, then move it onto the blank disc, then put it into my ps2, will the option file work?!

Normal OF no. Bin/Cue version, yes. There are details somewhere on here (just seek and ye shall find) never done it myself so can't help. Sorry.

Best bet is Max... i have one sat on the shelf in my living room. Completely fecking useless as i traded my PS2's for a PS3 last march...:doh:

Edit: sorry mate, maxdrive is software on a disc that you can use to crush/uncrush files in PS compatable format. Google it, or check out the CodeJunkies website for more info.
