You wouldn't be playing it in Japanese for more than a couple of weeks as a translation patch would be soon available thanks to dudes like fernando. And then you'd be playing practically the same game as PES5 (assumption based on previous versions) so you'd have a headstart on the "normal" PES5ers! It's not bad for £34.01 including shipping. But hey, I'm not posting to twist your arm or anything, just to let you know what's possible.

Do you need a chipped ps2 to play it??

Yes you need a modified PS2 to be able to play import games. You can either chip your PS2 or use the Slide Card or Flip Top Lid with swap magic disks - there is a sticky thread about all these methods in the General Editing section.
