Overall I'm Dissaponited wit PES 5!!

Mate i have searched many threads over at PESFAN and yes a few people talk about weather change, but as you stated in an earlier post " Konami have confirmed that they forgot to add weather change to the master league " is not mentioned anywhere:unsure:

I have also tried Konami and nothing is mentioned on this matter.
Could someone please clarify this as i have had a few cold games and sunny games no rain or snow yet.

From cold to sun is classed as weather change where i come from, don't know about you??????????

You won't play in snow or rain in ML, keep looking (maybe in PS2 forum?) its there b'cos ive read it.

from cold to warm, yes it is a weather temperature change. I am talking of a weather condition change. Like from clear, to rainy to snow to windy ... None of that apperas in ML and a Konami rep answered a post on that very forum stating that as a fact...

I am overall more dissapointed with PES 5 than I am happy. Why market the game with a new weather feature and then leave it out due to bug which shoulda been picked up in the Alpha testing stage?

In summary:

Overall the game isn't what I thought it would be. KONAMI's effort is a bit EA'ish. Atleast IMO, it reminds me of EA.

There's bugs left in the game which should of been picked up in the preliminary testing stages.

Too fewer changes to the game in general, and this is after leaving the same graphic engine in. That smells like EA all over.

Now in all that, I never once said the game was crap or worth taking back or even not worth playing.

Like I said before, and you agreed with me, without bringing problems to light we will never get solutions, ie a better PES 6.

Why you have to get defensive, like you had something to do with the making of the game, is unreasonable, petty and beyond me.

If you want to reply to this and have me read it, do it without the patronising tone ... If you're capable and can get over yourself for the 10 minutes it will require?!?

And for the love of god, with your diction and grasp of the english language, don't be pointing out other people's inadequacies ... It makes one look foolish, and gives their posts no breadth at all.

However, you have every right to say that if you are not happy with what you have spent your hard earned money on. Consumer's rights etc...

I wasn't being extra in anyway. Well, apart from pointing out spelling errors, etc... My apologies for that.

Yet there is another user that states he/she has not had any problems with the weather condition in ML. Maybe that's something you should take up with them?

Once again I support your views on the attacking AI. Konami need to review that and address those issues. Player's like Ronaldo, Shevchenko, Henry, etc.. really should be more clinical when shooting at goal.

I would say the gameplay has been improved. Gameplay being the physics of the ball, the way it moves when shooting, passing short and long range, dribbling, heading, etc...

A criticism I do have is the hard low crosses I put in. In PES4 I would beat the full-back and fizz the ball across the 6 yard box for a striker to slide in and score. I would get a good few goals by doing that, poacher's like Eto'o, Raul, etc... thrive on those deliveries. The striker's just don't respond as effectevely in PES5 as they did in PES4.

Anyway, what's with the beating with the dictionary? You want to give me some abuse you do it like a man and say it to my face!!! Don't give me abuse when you are sitting behind a screen in the luxury of your own home - that's being a coward!

Game testers post there, people who have played 6 or 7 seasons, and still yet to see rain or snow. If thats not enough for you ...

Somewhere buried in the thousands of threads, a Konami rep has stated it was an oversight which escaped prelimanary and post beta testing. They are talking of patching the game, but their workload for the the 360 console will take prioriety.

Now maybe you can fetch me my slippers and a cuban? I feel like relaxing...

I worked at a video game company for years. All your complaints are well justified. When I started as a tester, we used to tell the programmers how much something sucked and they already knew it sucked but unfortunately, because of time constraints, they couldn't make any more changes. On one of our games, we set up a website for the average user to write in and say what they liked and didn't like. We would tally up all the complaints. So, if 1500 people all wrote that the same thing sucked then it became a major issue for us to improve it. This game will always get better. My guess is that we will see a huge improvement for the new xbox and ps3 that will be coming out next year. So definitely take that into consideration. Konami aren't idiots either. They know what works and what doesn't and truthfully, one year is not a lot of time to make a lot of changes. The crunch time would be ridiculous. They get to a point where they have to deliver to a publisher and run out of time to make any more changes. Game turnover these days for sequel titles is unreal. They also cannot change the game engine because the programmers have already set it in stone. Animations and sound are the biggest thing that can improve in short periods. Like I said, with the new systems coming out, the game engine will be improved and probably completely overhauled. So, enjoy the game for what it is, and keep thinking of the things you would like added. That's what will eventually make this the greatest footie game ever. It already has been.

If only they visit the two major fansites often(Fan and Insight), and look at the Suggestions threads. Minor changes couldve made this so much better than what we have now(which is already super).

At first I was well narked about the snow feature not kicking in ever, but when I played PES4 I used to restart the game whenever it rained cos I hated playing the game in the rain so I can look passed the snow thing for now. I just can't understand how they can forget important things like this when they acheived it last year.

The crowd for PES6 should most definetly be 3d (in-game), as at the showcase when they were testing the ps3 they had a screen with something like 50,000 leaf's on it and each leaf had it's own animation and it's own individual sound.Plus they stated they could add another Million with no affect of slowdowns etc.
This cell technoligy sounds and looks great.

Also the petrol station explosion had individual glass, stone and even dust fragments which all had thier own individual animations and sounds so i think we are going to be blown away with the next installment

If they can do all this then im sure a 3d crowd is never out of the question

I think it weather thing that David P is on about is true. I haven't got anysnow or rain yet. Although I do have a theory it is down to what ball you play with. I was going to test this last night by using the yellow finale one for a few matches and see if it snowed. Anyone else tried this?

There are some usefull threads on both forums.. insight and fan.. i did try a few months back to contact konami.. my idea would be to set up a personal feedback member for the forums.. whereby someone could act as a go between so fans could offer their views with konami and they could get there point or ideas across..
I offered this service to konami purely through online leisure and agreed even to sign a declaration stating i wouldnt want to gain anything in a monetary sense and that i was doing it to benefit both the game i enjoyed, themselves and moreover the community.. but they never responded.. hmy:
