Thanks

To Zygalski and larsson

I have now one fully functioning patched disk

YIPEE, cheers for all the help and advice.

I am considering doing a idiots guide to patching for newbies in the not to distance future.

PS - do any of the more recent patches (ie after jb 15.10.03. patch) include shirt sponsors, as there is none in the above patch).

The jb Monster and the one just previous to it have almost all the real kits in it - all correct for clubs and almost all the national teams except smaller nations like Ecuador. All newer jb ones are great with kits.

Hi the monster Patch also includes another extract file - F&P_ClubNames-Emblems_PES3final.rar

Do I apply that before I apply jb22.11.03pes3.rar

I think it's fine to ignore that Emblems file. Just the Monster patch and then one of the updates to the Monster (posted in the first post of the Monster patch thread) is good.

Hey, I've got a strange problem:

I patched and burned everything like it is written in this topic, BUT: When I try to start my patched WE7-CD, my Play Station 2 makes some strange noises, it's really loud !

I already tried to record the disc again, tried different burning-programs and -properties, but it won't work... My patched WE6-CD works fine, doesn't make any problems, but doesn't matter how hard I try, WE7 is unable to start...

Any ideas about that ?

*cheers

You need to tell us which patch you used.

Hopefully we should know by now that you can only use PS2 PES3 patches on PS2 PES3 and WE7 patches on WE7 and PC patches on the PC version.

Give us more details so someone can figure out what's happened.

I used the "Fernando's WE7 FINAL English Translation V1.3" on an original Winning Eleven 7 (jap) distribution.

Okay, I have managed to burn a patch of the whole game, namely jb22.11.03, but now i am interested in patching separate parts of the game like the teams database or make some kits of my own and then use them with the current patch but I have no idea what to do.

I 've got AFS explorer but I don't have a clue how to use it.

I know that you have to locate th file you want to play around with but I don't know the file extensions, what files are in what folder and what their names are..

Can anyone help with that stuff?

Thx

Well Happy New Year everybody!

Did I ask something wrong?

It looks as though time stopped in this thread..

Wolf's PC Patch has a text file with a list of all the teams and their uni file names.

The jerseys are located here in the afs file.
150.pl.afs/150pl_auto.afs/150pl_auto_uni.afs

That'll put you at all the jerseys.

This is a random question in this thread...

Can you play a patched CD w/ a PS2 without having the PS2 chipped?

I have swap magic 2.0 w/ a slidecard...will this do the trick or do I need to buy a chipped PS2?

Thanks CtlAltDel. I found everything. HitmanUk2k 's guide was awesome. My problem was that, the first time I "hit" pesinsight on the web I was directed to the forums and not to the main site so I had missed all these great tutorials etc. Now I understand why I pissed off some people. Sorry about that.

Btw I havent' found a tool to edit team and player data yet. I have PESEdit but although it opens the AFS file it shows binary data.. Any ideas?

CallCenterZombie I have Swap Magic myself (3.0). DVD Version seems to work fine (haven't got a copy of DVD but tried with a proper one) but the CD version does not work at all. I never actually get to the "Insert Disc" screen. Maybe because my PS2 says CD Version 2. I don't know. I 'v mailed the bas..rds like 4 times but no reply..

i have a question regarding the very first post in this thread. Those instructions seem to be for the PS2 game (mentions burning the game first in order to patch it for the PS2). I live in the U.S. and plan to order the U.K. PES3 on PC. That step by step outline in the very first thread seemed very clear but like i sed, to me it sounded like it was for the PS2.

Question: What are the step by step procedures for the PC version?

Much thanx in advance....

halitosis, download the Wolf's patch from lomungtun and the readme in there explains everything - the rar file conatins all tools you need too.

Please help the clueless...

I want to burn patched copies of WE7 to cd but whenever I burn the patched image the cd it always comes up blank. I have no idea why this is happening as I used to be able to burn the images fine up until now. Oh and I'm using Nero and have tried using alcohol but it still doesn't work.

Please follow my guide exactly, if you still will have problems post it in the patch help thread :)
I use for burning .bin files fireburner as this tool was created especially for this kind of files.
