Paying transfer fees for free players!?

wanted to know if anyone can confirm that you have to pay a transfer fee for players who dont have a club.

I played yesterday in the master league and went to buy some american players, donavon being one of them, and as he has no club i just didnt understand why i had to set a transfer fee, just who the hell is that sposed to go to? i was up late and very tired, but can anyone confirm this madness?

You have to pay for "your" players, eg when you play with Liverpool and want to buy Owen. Don´t know how this looks when you want to get free players, but I think it could be that you have to pay.

you have to pay a transfer fee for all players, regardless of whether they are free or not.

so wot we have now is infact no free players, beacuse for them to be free means 'to get them on a free' = no transfer fee.

Is anyone understanding why this has been changed, and anyone concerned about the fact that its just plain wrong. Wont this take out an element of the transfer system which made the master league on pes2 so good, even more so on the harder levels / extreme level, as it was vital to be able to get in free players due to the lack of funds. How will u be able to afford good enough players to get you up on the harder levels?

It´s nothing new for those who played WE6FE, I think it makes no sence paying for free players, and it makes the game harder, but you´ll manage it somehow, I managed it on WE6FE.

you can get free players, but you have to do some good scouting, cos u only get free's when a players CONTRACT runs out, thus making it more realistic surely?
