Great patch man, really good job. This encouraged me play this game again. But i do have one question: Is there a way to start a customized cup with only the teams from outside the main leagues? When i choose "League/Cup", all of them are pre-set and i can only choose the team i'll use.

If there isn't such a way, then it is possible for you to add in a future patch (that is, if you plan to continue your work)?

Great option file guys ive managed to install it and everything fine but i cant select my beloved swansea city in master league i see that claret has managed to get *cough* cardiff in there using pes editor could some one please explain in a little more detail etc how to actually to do it though thanks in advance

I dont know if I wanna help you now mate as you support THAT TEAM lol, only joking mate even tho they are our arch rivals I am doing this to help the Championship supporters here so you need to open the EDIT.bin file from the SMoKE patch save folder using PES editor, on the players and transfers tab use the drop down arrows and select the team you want to use on the left and the team you want to replace on the right then right click anywhere in either team and choose swap teams with all settings. I used Middlesbough and can confirm it working in ML, I cannot guarantee you wont get crashes although I have not experienced any yet. There are still problems with some teams that dido is due to fix in his next patch update. Also you need to swap the teams in the map.txt in GDB\kitserver folder of SMoKE patch too.

P.S I guess this is your only chance to see them in the Premier League tho mate haha

lol thanks for the help brother ill give it a fiddle with now so hopefully i can get the 2nd division full of the championship teams or not ? hope you manage to get rid of that crook peter risdale mate i bet your wondering how he can get away with paying his self 1million pounds while cardiff made at least 4.5 million loss last year any other industry and that guy would be locked up for fraud,
hope your club can save itself from the dire mess its in ( just so you can give us 6 points every season haha :lol: )

Hey Clart, I'm trying to start ML with Sheffield United. I tried editing the EDIT.bin file but can't find the teams in the list even though they are available in the exhibition mode. What version of PES editor are you using?

I am using PES Editor v2.0 and I can see Sheffield Utd in the list, if you see them in the game then they should be there. Scroll to the bottom of the list on players and transfers tab you need to use the arrows on drop down list, both lists are set on Arsenal by default. Hope this helps

Hey man, just wanted to see if somebody could help with BaL. pes2010.exe crashes everytime I try to start a game with kitserver "attached". If I "dettach" it I can play just fine.

EDIT: It kinda fixed itself--- ain't windows a wonder...

I am using PES Editor v2.0 and I can see Sheffield Utd in the list, if you see them in the game then they should be there. Scroll to the bottom of the list on players and transfers tab you need to use the arrows on drop down list, both lists are set on Arsenal by default. Hope this helps

Thanks a lot mate, it worked. Turns out I had the 1.2 version and it didn't show Championship clubs for some reason. 2.0 works fine though.

hey, i see that clart and smoke are using the pes editor too.. i'm trying to learn it as well, but need a little help.

could someone make a video tutorial, maybe SMOKE on his website, just the basic stuff.. Like i don't see any emblems, and how to create or update players with FM..

it says something about CSV, FM and OF2 files. But when i try to load these files, i can't find them anywhere.. i looked all over the place in kitserver, save map etc etc.. :S

A little help wouldn't hurt

Dido, many many thanks for your updated files! Sadly, the crash still occurs when selecting the Wednesday during Exhibition mode. I'm suspecting it could be something to do with either my system, or the fact that I'm using Windows 7. Still, my thanks again. I'll hold on for your next big update now.

Smoke patch 2.3 working fine here and I am using Windows 7 also so I doubt it's that, I have tweaked the option file myself tho so maybe thats why. I am sure dido will release an update soon

Haha mate as long as we have Dave Jones as manager and Chopra and Whittingham leading the Championship scorers I'm sure we will be just fine, oh and don't forget Jay Bothroyd Ridsdale is a different matter tho, I guess like that guy Martinez who left you for greener pastures and more money but thats football for you. You wont be getting 6 points from us next year as we hopefully make the Premier and dont forget you still got to come to Cardiff this season:lol:

I have yet to come across a decent tutorial for PES Editor for PES 2010 and still not got the jist of loading a second option file either:mellow:, maybe try googling it but I would'nt recommend changing too much as you may cause problems with the SMoKE patch as you would need to edit bin files too. I hope to release my own patch one day but need a bit more practice as I have only cracked the option file side of it so far, good luck anyway

This is a great patch dido ... I have a few questions if I wanted to change the soccer balls or adboards what program would i need to use if there no need to get a program. After all this how would I change the soccer balls I seen the topper soccer ball the is played in the brazilian league that look cool .. But I must say this patch is very good good job and keep up the good work

Open the map.txt and delete middlesbrough from ID 368 and switch them with ID 373, do the same for the team you wanna use, might work till dido releases his update

Issue 2: When playing in the league mode Euro Cup as Serbia and I try to click "next match" (opponent Bulgaria) the game crashes with a runtime error. Playing Serbia vs Bulgaria in exhibition mode works fine.

I must say so far 2.3.1 looks to be a lot less stable than 2.2 and I think I'm going to revert for now.

edit: I just tested these two in version 2.2.
Issue 1 is fixed.
Issue 2 remains, although I used the same savegame so I might have inherited whatever causes the problem.

Getting crashes in Training on most teams, had 1 crash so far in ML against Leicester, only in my first season though in league 2 using patch 2.3 (2.3.1 not applied). Reading other threads here and it seems most patches are getting crashes, heard it may be something to do with certain stadiums. Dido what would happen if I deleted the Camp Nou and San Siro files from dt06.img folder from your patch, would the patch still work? Hope your close to another update good luck Not had any crashes in Exhibition mode yet but mostly tested kits as a lot were crashing when selected.

Hey guys. I still need some help with my PES.

If I install a clean version of pes 2010 and install SMoKe 2.3, I get these problems:

- Bundesliga emblem with Eredivie name and Bundesliga teams.
- Other league A filled with Eredivisie teams and other teams.
- I started playing an exibition match and all of the images were blank. Like, the radar was white, the arrow above your players head was white, the scoreboard was white, like there was no images.
- I cant seem to make a new player and I cant register a BAL player.
- I also dont see the startup Smoke patch logo when I started PES. (The Smoke patch 2.3 logo if it has one, like the 2.2 patch) but this isnt a big problem for me, just felt like saying it.

And when I delete the kit and paste the kit of SMoKe patch 2.2 in it, and his own save files in the save direction, I have no problems. (Only that bundesliga en Other league is messed up)

How is this possible ?
What should I do ?
