PC Troubleshooting Thread (PES 2008 ONLY)

My pc is Vista, I tried to install the patch dated 3/12/07 but my screen just flashes on & off. I e-mailed Konami and all they said in reply was 'PES 2008 has been designed expressely for Windows XP, so we cannot guarantee its compatibility with other operating systems.' Every thing was ok before, but now I'm unable to play on-line. Can anyone help me please?

i got a new laptop for my christmas n i got pro evolution soccer for my birthday but when i tried to install it a message pops up saying:

Warning:
Your computer does not meet the minimum specifications necessary to run this software.
You may experience errors during operation.
The video card does not have the necessary specifications(Vertex/Pixel Shader 1.x)

how do i solve this?? or where can i get them from??

That integrated graphics card isn't exactly going to aid matters, mostly due to Konami's lack of testing and support.

PES 2008 doesn't loading

my PES 2008 doesn't run..
when I enter the game, I choose the teams, and then the game stay loading for a long time and doesn't enter the game..
I bought this computer:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor, 4400+
MB ASUS M2N-E SLI
2x SANSUNG 1024 MB DDR2
Windows XP PRO SP2
GeForce 8600 GT (512 M)
AOC 17"
last week, but i'm not play PES 2008 yet.. :/

Hi all..

My story

I downloaded cracked version of Pro Evolution Soccer.. it was working fine for master leage, cups, .. and so on. And so I decided to buy original dvd, deleted older (cracked) version of PES2008 and installed fresh new from original dvd and registered on the internet. And downloaded newest patch 1.2 also.


Problem 1 (importance: high )
Playing online.
Every time when I go to lobby and select the room I get this message

No matter which room I choose, always the same message pops up.
Anyone knows why?

Ok, then I choose "Quick match" (under ranking) and usually I can connect with opponent and play the match. But problems is when I want to find and connect through "quick match" to opponent second time, right after I finnish the first match. It's just loading, loading, loading, .. (http://i30.tinypic.com/2h34gte.jpg) and at the end this message appears: "Connection with other player lost"

It's rarely that I can connect 2 times in a row under "quick match" option.
What could be wrong?

Problem #2 (importance: not so high)
Sound problem.
When I play the match, everything is ok.. but then suddenly I can't hear crowd anymore so loud. But I can still hear the commentator and crowd just a few times, but not like at start of the match.


Problem #3 (importance: not so high)
Exiting the game.
Everytime I exit, the game freezes and all it's left on the monitor is "black screen".. I didn't have that problem from the beginning when I installed cracked version.



And that's it.. if someone knows what could be the problem. I already uninstalled and installed once again PES2008 but still have those 3 problems.


I'm using:
Windows XP (sp2, wasn't formated since the summer time)
AMD Athlon 2500+
GeForce 7600GS

Can you post on board specification of your computer and which operating system you use?

Huawei E220 and port forwarding problem, please help!

I am having problems trying to play pes08 at network. I have Huawei E220 modem. It wont let me trough, so the game gives me the regular error (which is processed in the first thread) "UDP 5730 port can not connect" etc.
So how do I get it work? I dont know how to forward the port for this modem (have tryed to find instructions from internet with no succes). Does some one? or is there another way to get the game work?

Firewall or antivirus doesn't block the games connection to network. I am using Vista premium and the Huawe E220 modem uses vodafone mobile connect software.

Any help appreciated..

I just installed PES2008..

... and I'm experiencing some problems.

My PC is brand new, Q6600, 4 GB Ram, 8800GT 512 graphics card, and OS is Vista 32 bit.

Problems are:
- Gameplay seems a bit slow, although this could be a choice by the devlopers.

- Screen-tearing. I have a HP w1907v monitor, 1440x900 screen ratio.
It seems the screen is 'tearing' a bit in the middle of the screen.

- When I go into settings, I cant choose 1440x900 screen-ratio.

These are the most prominent problems I have found thus far. I havent installed any patches or fixes or whatever, cause I thought it would be better to ask for advice first.

Nvidia 8800GT 512mb card (factory overclocked).
SATA2 Hard drive.
19" Widescreen monitor.

Playing game in full screen but suffers in-game slow-down and switching between menu screens can take ages. Sometimes opening and closing disc tray remedies this as it gets disc to spin up and speeds things. My screen goes blank at times too, and i have to press 'start' button and go back to desktop with game in window which prompts the game to continue from where it left off. Game doesn't play badly in window but doesn't play well in full screen. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

To be honest I can only think you may need to fiddle with refresh rates and Vertical Sync though to be honest I'm not sure what the issue is being caused by. Your specs are clearly good enough.

Read the first post of this thread thoroughly and it should help. Haven't seen you around in a very very long time.

I'd be thinking your graphics card just isn't good enough to be honest. It is many years old and does not have vertex or pixel shading capabilities.

I'm afraid I can't think of a reason for the problem you are experiencing. Try uninstalling the game, defragmenting your drive and then installing it again though I wouldn't hold out much hope of that resolving the problem.

Problem 1: As this is intermittent and not permanent, I don't see it being your router or firewall. Really not sure what is happening.

Problem 2: Try to obtain updated sound drivers for your sound card? Really a strange issue.

Problem 3: Could be some sort of RAM issue or similar but hard to pin down especially if other games and programs are not behaving in the same manner.

I will now put this onto my gaming computer but where do i download it to? I know it's obviously the Konami program file but do i have to drag and drop it into a particular sub-folder or prog?

Not an issue I've encountered though and I'm on Vista x64 and have 4GB of RAM which are two issues the game didn't like originally.

The file you've downloaded is surely just the installer which you run and will automatically find the game directory and update files appropriately.

i have installed pes 2008 with patch 1.2 but i have some problems. When i try to play the game on full screen it freezes and after some alt + f4 i manage to restore the pc. if i try to play it in windowed mode the game works fine.

If i install the game in my external drive it plays fine but i want it on my internal disk.

I have the latest ati catalyst 8.3 (hd3850) , dx 9c .

Is there any ideas ?
