Avoid all Konami products?

Whilst not the answer you're after, they've seriously screwed up this time around and I find it all rather pathetic.

Try running the game in windowed mode rather than full screen and see if it gives the same issue. If it does, try the lowest graphic setting in windowed mode and should that manage to work, start increasing/switching to full screen bit by bit until you encounter the problem again.

:( I've tried all of those things and it still gives me the same message... I think I might just sell my pro evo 2008 - wouldn't get much money for it though

Don, do you know what should I do?
Still can't get it to work and I already ran out of ways to play that game.

I'm talking about this post:
Hi there, I have PES 2008 installed on my PC but I CANT play it.
I double click the shortcut and until the main menu all runs fine, when I try to go beyond the game freezes and then I get a message telling that my graphic driver stopped working.
Something like "The driver nv4_disp has stopped working ... etc". I already tried a lot of different graphic cards and everytime I get the same error or whatever is that.
3 months ago right after the game was launched I could play it very well but then suddenly it stopped working.
It only happens with PES 2008 since I also play other games here and never happened anything like it.

Small edit: I have a nVidia GeForce 6600 256mb.

Thanks in advance,
Primo it.

I have no idea, sorry :(

The only thing to try is reducing the graphics quality within the Settings program, or trying to get it to load in a window and not full screen.

Nothing springs to mind at all. To be fair, it doesn't necessarily sound like a graphics card limitation - or an intended graphics card limitation.

What are the specs of the PC?

After installing and run the game, all I could see was until the word Konami and window appear the message 'PES 2008 had encountered a problem and had to close down'. I had reinstalled many times and had also update patches and try setting in both window and full screen still can't work.
I meet all requirement and having Nividia 9600.
anyone could help?

Go to your Start Menu, click on Run, type in msconfig and then press ENTER. You will be presented with a screen. Click on the Startup tab and get me screenshots (using Prnt Scrn on your keyboard, pasting into a program like Paint and then uploading the images) of all the items listed. It is possible that there is a conflict between PES and a program you have running at startup and I can then try to advise you further. If it helps, send these to me via a private message as it will prevent from cluttering up the thread.

Once you upload via imageshack or something (www.imageshack.us) it will give you a link to the picture. Just copy and paste the url into a post.

Unless my memory is dire (or I just haven't seen such a thread), nobody using the 64-bit version of XP has got the game working.
