Too many people are complaining about penalties, so I would like to make it easy for you guys

It's not more than three steps

1- press square to start run
2- press and hold the direction you want for not more than one second
3- press the direction toward the goal to make it strong or the direction against the goal to make it weak ( but be careful, you dont need to hold the direction, you just need to tap it, otherwise it would fly to the fans)

That's all


By the way I think that I have scored 18 out of 20

I think saving penalties is a lot harder than scoring them, just like the real life

Even if you moved the goal keeper to the same direction of the ball you wouldn't be able to save it because it's more about timing

Thats all?! What was wrong with Penalties on PES2010 and another thing, why do we still have this stupid camera angle?

i dont see any problem with the camera angle, because i can do the 3 steps without watching the TV, unless some one want to see the keeper eyes to know where he is goining to jump :rolleyes:

I like doing the little chip on the penalties, I actually think penalties are great now as you can do almost anything with them for the first time if you practice!

Two exhibition games in and I haven't had one so far, maybe a bit early to be expecting one by now.

If you have scored 18 from 20 do you mean in training or shootouts or have they been awarded during the game?

finaly a simple explanation i got so mad cos ive been awarded about 6 so far and fluffed them all but i was pressing direction the same time as square. Just a stupid thought but with regards to the camera angle has anyone tried pausing and going to camera settings and seeing if it can be changed. Only thought about it after i fluffed my last one and i know now i want to try it i wont be awarded 1 for ages

i mean during the game play and the shootouts, now i think it's 30 out of 33

But is there a way to practice them or do I have to wait untill I get one in a match?

I've managed to miss the goal on a penalty, but I've never seen the keeper save. I have netted about 19 of 20 penalties (roughly), and all of them in BAL.

I do not love the way penalties are implemented in the game, but I do find it satisfactory. I am actually quite happy that it is possible to get a penalty in this version, as opposed to pes2010.

haha, i got my first in-match penalty awarded yesterday.
So, I don't pause the game, get the game manual and all of a sudden my guy auto shoots the ball way into the stars...

ah well, thx for the tip, will practice tonight :)

the pens are better this year, last year was good but i think this year is spot on, hope they dont change it again

penalties certainly are much improved now. It allows for greater variation of how u wanna take it. Although it takes getting used to since its rather sensitive. But once u figure it out, u can pull off some pretty cool shots. My favourite would be dinking the keeper when he dives across the ground. Gives me a pretty good feeling when he dives correctly only for the ball to float over him :p

Well I have so far had one (missed) and then went into training to get it right as it does feel a bit different from last year.

Being awarded them is maybe a rarity but giving them away isn't something i'm having trouble with. An away trip to Chelsea and I go and give two. Both scored by Lampard.

I find it hard to time my slides when the cpu is firing through balls to feet all the time. 7 out of 10 times my guy takes the ball and dumps the player on his face but the rest of the time I totally miss the ball.
