Guys you are so pesimistic.. You're only looking at bad and dark sides.. HEre are the differences between PEs08&09

- No slowdown
- A lot improved grafix, on and off the pitch
- new animations
- proper free-kicks and corners
- Be a legend mode
- New camera
- Online improvements
- Better AI ( definetaly even for demo.. )
- Slower and more stable gameplay ( long passes are great)
- Champions league..

Think that way.. I even played that Crap-deemed Pes 2008 for a whole year... I can't think how I'm gonna love this game (2009).. Don't forget ; fifa gets played only for a week, then gets repetitive but PEs is getting played till the new Pes is released..

I totally agree with you, it feels like the game runs smoothly and that is a great improvement. There are( and will always be) complaints about the new PES. Of course, you can't score as many goals as you did last year, but is that really a disappointment or it is something to be happy about. In real life, they don't score that much, so it's more realistically.

The game is perfect, sometimes i get angry at the demo because two or three games in a row the game ends up in an ugly 0-0, but that means this game will be hard to beat, that means more fun and a real challenge.

I just can't wait for the final game.

P.S. If someone wins game after game in the demo in top player and hardly draws or loses, then he has my respect.

I totally agree with you. You also forgot about the edit mode. This year all the EPL can be licensed with edit mode.

Thats cuz the demo is only 5min per half. With the full game set to 10min you should see a lot less 0-0 if you're good enough ;)

I like 0-0 matches.. It makes the game more realistic.. Hard matches, good struggle in midfield and few occasions.. that is Football.. I play at least 20 min matches Btw...

completely agree, i'm still enjoying PES2008 so i'm sure i will love this one more.

Why not just get the demo expander? I have the half lengths set at 10 minutes, I often lose or draw with the AI on Top Player. I have to get my tactics set up to mark players, otherwise they pass me off the field.

Agree also, If you look at all of the problems from PES2008 they all seemed to have been smoothed out in 09.

They've even made some good improvements like the angle from the corner, I didn't realise how irritating it really was in 08 until I reverted back to it after playing the demo. Roll on next Friday!

I was optimistic about PES 2008... Konami got complacent and fucked it up.

Its always better to be critical at this stage to show the developers how high the consumers standards are.

i am pro evo fan and have got fifa 2009 but pro evos game play kicks it arse if only pro evo had the stadiums and kits fifa had it wold be the all round perfect game cant understand how the got the champions league and half the teams have no kits or stadiums thats what a licence is all about

I'm looking forward to this game more than ever but there will be some apprehension because of last years game. In the playstation and ps2 era it was a given that pro would be something special but the game is going through a transitional period.

Its PeS 09 al the way ! i just loved the ultra real look of the night flood light look .. and i saw in youtube the final version day look and i have been blown away taht PES 09 gonna look like watching real game on TV. and about gameplay .. i play PeS 09 all; day and never get bored for another match :D , its so mezmorizing !

Yeah, totally, what i meant was in the way that i have to master the game to score a goal, sometimes when i score i feel that i was more luck than a good play.

I just can't wait for the final version, it will be sweet, the graphics will be more polished and with the commentary it will feel a lot more real.
