That's probably the best way of playing it. Robben and Wright-Phillips are able to rip any defence apart as they have a lot of pace. Shevchenko and Drogba score goals for fun, and Makelele is very good in that holding midfield role. I think I would play Boulahrouz instead of Essien, as he can be quite hard to break down.

I prefer Essien for the surging runs but Boula works aswell.

i like your formation but just one thing,
i don't know if you really know the difference on the game play but if i where you, I'll change the two SS to WF's
they'll be more active one the wings and the center.

i tried that first, but it depends on how you play....

If you like raining in the crosses, then with the 2 WFs, you'll notice only drogba in the box, and with about 3 defenders to deal with, he wont get anything. But with the 2 SS's, there'll be at least 2 if not 3 in the box for each cross, hence improving the chance of scoring :D

Of course, if you're a cutback specialist then feel free to change them to WF's, run up to the goal line, square it and win 6-0....
