Firstly I will start with saying hello as this is my first post. My name is Richard and I am 24 living in Pompey.

I have been a PES fan ever since the early days when I used to play ISS on the N64 :cool::cool:

I have been keeping a close eye on the developments of PES 2009 aand have downloaded the demo. It has been a while since I bought a football game as I normally just steal my brother in law's lol. I do own PES6 and all previous to that.

I have also downlaoded the FIFA09 demo as many of my firnds said it was better but as usual after playing both PES's superior gameplay smashes FIFA yet again for me. As I said I have not played or bought a football game for a while after the birth of my son, but now I have some more time as he is easier to handle and I want to buy one, after playing both I am sticking with what I always loved and am going to buy PES but I just have a few questions. I do apologise if these are repeated questions.

1. What is the situation with authenticity now with PES, does it have correct player names but still have some incorrect team names and kits?

2. I have read up about this "Become a legend mode" but still am not sure what it is all about can anyone give me a page that will explain this in more detail?.

3. Is there going to be/be possible to patch PES on the console like the PC version to update things.

1. Yes PES does have correct names, and incorrect kits (except licensed leagues and man u and liverpool).

2.The Become a legend mode is where you take control of one player in the whole team. You can only choose a midfielder or striker as konami think these are the most exciting roles on the pitch. In this mode you will start off as a 17 year old rookie playing for a 'crap' club. In order to play for the higher teams such as Man U, Arsenal e.t.c you will need to train hard to get into the starting 11 and play well to increase your stats. The better you play the more chances of higher clubs recognizing your talent and apply for transfers to sign you. You are able to choose which club you want to play for for e.g. if Barcelona or Man U offer a transfer you choose which one you would like to player for. The mode lasts 21 years meaning you start off at 17 and ending your career at 38.

3. Yes there will be patches available with the correct team names, emblems, kits and latest transfers.

And as for your signature if you go to 'my profile' it will give you options to edit your profile on the left hand side, and it should say 'Edit Signature'.
