hi everyone, sorry of these questions are redundant.

i'm in the US and an considering importing the PC version of PES 08 from the UK on its october release date.

i'd first like to clarify that i will be able to play the game. does having a US comp/dvd drive/controller make any difference...i assume not? and i'm sorry if i sound retarded but i'm just trying to make absolutely sure that if i go through the trouble of importing that i'll be able to play.

second what will importing mean for online play? will i be able to play americans (once the US version is released in the spring), or can i play people with the european copy only?

basically, what are the implications of importing the game to america? is there anything i need to know?

You will be able to play the game, no doubt. I'm sorry to say the 2nd question is a guess for me as well.

The game will install and run on your PC for sure...no doubt about that...

As for online play......I seem to remember Australians playing in the English PES6 rooms on PS2 so I dont see why Americans with the Euro release of PES2008 couldnt do te same thing.....might be hard finding an opponent to play though.

If it works anything like the PES6 server....he would simply have to advertise USA ONLY.....OR USA EAST ONLY...or something like that...and trust that another player from his region is wise enough to know that the fact that the server states FIFSSUCKS09 has practically no connectivity...is simply due to te fact he is sitting in USA, miles away from server.....But during PES games....it is the players who host the game...not the shitty Konami servers.
