Pes 2008 too fast gameplay, please help! :(

I have just bought a gecube ATI hd 4850 512 mb graphic card. It is quite good at crysis, call of duty 4 and the other games. But I cannot play pro evolution soccer 2008 and pro evolution soccer 6 well. The gameplay is god damn fast in this games. I checked ati catalays control center out and changed the settings to optimal quality from performance , but nothing changed.
I downloaded the latest direct x (end user run time) I tried the lates catalayst (8.7) still no good.
What is the problem do you think? Please help!!!

I dont understand the problem, I'd kill for fast gameplay on top graphics (wrong end of stick?)

Actually, pes 2008 can run too fast on high end PCs. From PES settings, set high detail, activate Vsync and up the resolution until you are happy with game speed. Selecting the wide camera angle helps too.

If you have kitserver installed, go into its folder, run "lodcfg" and set the two LOD sliders fully to the right (this will make the game show the highest res models & textures on every camera angle and from any distance, even during normal gameplay).

Sorry if you have already tried all that, but it did work for me when I was still playing 2008. I was able to slow it down till its speed was on par with PES 6!

Pes 2008 is even fast on the ps3/360 versions. It's fast and you can't change it. Maybe the above poster is correct about the pc version.

What I try to say is my pes 2008 runs much faster than normal pc's and ps3's shaun7 :)
I know how fast it should run. Because it was normal when I had nvidia 8500 gt before buying brandnew ati hd 4850.

i had a similar problem few days ago. My pal came up to sort my FPS drop in CS, he changed a setting and my FPS back up at 100 - happy days

Same night i turn on pro and kick off. It was honestly just LOL. Was like playing the game fast forwarded. was Impossible to play and gave me sore head

I asked my pal what he done etc. Simple : Control Pannel of your Graphics Card. " Vertical Sync - FORCE ON ". My mate turned it off so make sure your Vertical Sync is forced on, if that doesnt help then who knows what the problem is
