E3 going to start on th 15th this month and I'm already excited bout whats to come from Konami. I'm aware that there will be some official info regarding PES2009 or possibly more pic, gameplay and demo(but I doubt a demo will come b4 GC leipzig). So, what are your predictions about the coming news? For me it would be gameplay videos, the front cover stars and about the licenses.

I agree with Shaun. Most of the forums on here seem to be goin off the mark. Graphics and licensed teams were not the problem in last years installment, in fact I thought the appearance of the game (minus the crowd) was quite impressive.
They need to focus more on improving the gameplay rather than securing licenses. I'd imagine most PES fans would be happy with a far more advanced editing mode so they can customise the game to there own criteria, rather than the licenses.
I'm dying for some gameplay video and if what ur saying is true, then we have to wait till end of August. Konami better get some more improvement this time.

My hopes are that when news comes out they will come with something (NO! I am not talking about CL, i don't care about license) NEW!! That will blow our minds.
I think what EA is doing right now, hyping FIFA and KONAMI being silenced is not a good thing.
So, again i hope they come with something really impressive and i hope it involves gameplay.

I'm expecting a version of PES6 with good graphics -at- best. I don't expect a very good game neither from Konami or EA Sports.
Both PES09 and FIFA09 will be Current Gen. We will have to wait until 2010 or 2011 to see a truly Next Gen Football game.
And as for Seabass.. I have lost a lot of credibility in him, all he talks about are "New Modes" and this and that, and "Diving" -but- in the last 5 YEARS, when was the last time he made clear noticeable improvements to the gameplay??
Not even a single New Player Attribute -the- same exact set of Stats and Special Abilities, the same gameplay, the same Dribbling Tricks (and Dribbling Controls), etc, etc.. And to top it all off, PES08 was actually a step backwards.
I really don't know what to expect from PES09. My guess?? A version of PES6 with good graphics.

Theres also press conference from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. At least some coverage to keep us excited.Ok, the Konami press conference is over but no words of PES2009. I'm a bit dissapointed but then I found out that PES2009 will be the lineup games for the GC in Leipzig August 20th-24th. This is going to be suck bcoz we will have to wait for another month to see what PES2009 will be like. Unless they announce a gameplay video between E3 and GC, I wouldnt be very please, Konami better pull this release off.

Maybe they are not saying anything because they don't have anything. This is what Konami has done to me now. I'm so dissapointed with the last few games that I'm actually rooting for FIFA this time.
I haven't even played FIFA since FIFA 2003 but I'm more exited about what EA has to offer this time than getting my hopes up just to be spit and slapped in the face by Konami.

Yeah, that's the vibe I'm getting from Konami.. maybe they aren't talking because they don't have anything to boast about. That can happen after spending 5 YEARS of merely tweaking PES4.
Honestly, I've been disappointed since PES6 -because- PES6 was just a tweaked version of PES4; same gameplay, same Controls, same Dribbling Tricks, same Graphics, same Stats and Special Abilities, same Everything..
I'm NOT expecting anything NEW from neither Konami or FIFA. I don't expect any breakthrough.. PES and FIFA will probably play like PS2 games.
I just hope Konami can manage to release a version of PES6 with good graphics, at least that's playable.
