I recently went to the trouble of obtaining a konami id to give online a whirl, bear in mind this is the first time i've tried playing pes online since pes 6 on the ps2, and I must say its shockingly bad not only do you have to play a completely different way than to compensate for lag but the whole thing is soooo frustrating. I was playing this dK loser the other day and was 3-0 up after 20 mins only for my team to stop running and passing to each other for no reason. I lost 6-3 but it felt like i`d been handicapped, also plenty of times i`ve been thrashing people only for them to pull the plug why bother playing if you can`t lose like a man? it makes my blood boil. At least in pes 6 you could see how many times someone had disconnected before you decided to play em and whats happened to the tournaments with the team star system all you can do now is ranking matches the whole thing stinks you`d think that by now konami would pull there finger out and get a server capable of running the damn thing properly also minus a license online play could have been a trump card over fifa but it stinks of a sod it its fine as it is approach that may see many people including myself buying fifa 2010 instead anyone else feel the same?

if you play it often enough online you'll adapt either stick to hosting games
:ie less chance of lag
join a league thee full of people who want to play small teams and are only interested in having a good game
play internationals : no barca then
or name your room no barcelona
