PES 2009 Penalties

I've played Penalties twice during Become a Legend and thrice in Exhibition.
Its hard to score!!!
Does anyone can score easily? Even my AI teammates keep getting out of the net or hit the woodwork and for me, the goal keeper keep getting it since I hit low shots.

Is it that I suck or its suppose to be hard.

I say the mentality attribute would be good for penalty taking, just as its good for selecting a captain? Maybe players with a low mentality are prone to miss? Maybe it could also go down the the players condition? Meaning if he has a low condition, he's not feeling up to taking a penalty, and if he has a high condition he has allot of confidence meaning he is more likely to score?

You also have the special ability for penalties.

In 2008, every penalty I took I just pressed down on the direction pad to hit the ball along the floor in the middle of the goal and I don't think a single penalty was saved. I've only had about 5 penalties in the new game, but all have gone in using the same tactic.

Has anybody had a penalty saved (by AI not online) by hitting it low in the centre?

I've taken a 3 or 4 penalties now & only 1 of the 4 has actually went to the side i pressed it to, so if i've tried to hit one into the bottom left corner with KAKA the shot just seems to go down the middle & it's not as though KAKA is shite either although i do know he doesnt have the penalty attribute.

Yep I had a penaly saved in the D1 cup when I hit it right down the middle on the deck. The AI keeper just dropped and saved it. But 9/10 times it usually works anyway.

On the old PES I never had a penalty saved in the bottom centre. However, on 2009 I have had one saved.

The computer always seem to fire penalties over the bar when I am playing them.

Always use players that have penalty ability.For instance i shot 15 penalties with ibrahimovic and he's lost more than 8 and with Chivu who the ability i have lost none and i shot them in the top left side.

Do you hold the direction until you have taken the penalty?

i had a game that went to penalties,only 1 went in,the rest all went wide or were saved,it was horrific.
