Its sending out a good message that our game's representative is Messi who is 1 of the 3 best players in the world and Rooney is in a slump and not scoring and sub standard atm and ronaldinho who ill give credit and say now and again he'l pull of some brilliance but he aint a world beater anymore and if he was still at barca he wouldnt be getting into their team still.

I think Konami was very clever in signing Messi, Messi is the future of soccer...only 21 years old and already one of top 3, and many consider him the best in the world. Too many people hate CR7, and rooney is yet to regain his Euro 2004 form.

rooney has been ruined by scumchester ever since that major injury he is a shadow to the player he used to be. as for the ad awsome messi is so goood i personally think his dribbiling is far better than ronaldos.

Yes, because Rooney's only managed 2 goals in his last 2 games, and averaged more than 19 goals a season since he's been at United.

The poor bastard. I'd hate to be in the slump he's in.

EDIT: And not to mention, it's not very often you see Rooney playing as a striker these days anyway. He spent a lot of his time out wide last season and has done so this season too.

Rooney is a good player but he's nowhere near one of the best players in the world. Messi, Gerrard, Ronaldo, Kaka, Torres. I would say those are the top 5 in no particular order.
