It looks amazing. Outstanding graphics.
Theres a lot of room for improvement on gameplay but it is definitely a step in the right direction. Let's face it, no football game has ever looked this beautiful.

I think this is simple:

If response times are the same then this is for sure a terrible move by KONAMI. If they do fix them then I am sure it will be a good game...

I have no idea what they are trying to achieve with this DEMO....

P.s. do NOT trust that moron ADAM ( who probably sleeps with the game ) when it comes to PES. Do not trust PESFAN either. It seems the only way is to just play the actual game yourself.

well after so many matches including top player mode the goalkeepers well and truly are rubbish, scored a deflected goal and the keeper watched it go in right next to himself,i think that this year the goalkeepers are worse than previous years

We've actually got a couple of the bloggers telling us in a private area of this forum that earlier builds (70% for example) they played didn't have some of these issues and that they too are disappointed by the demo and cannot understand what is going on. I think that speaks volumes for what a massive mess this demo is.

i hope they can sort out the goalkeepers fumbles etc
ok every goalkeeper makes a mistake but you get top teams on the demo so the keepers should be of that level of skill etc,i hope they can sort it before the realsie date
i dont like to compare this to fifa but fifa have got better goalkeepers who try to command the penalty box

Man I dont know what to believe anymore. I really want a good PES game but, I too, am getting tired of all these excuses.

The thing is that I actually enjoy the demo a bit but cant help feel how much better it can be if the response is fixed along with the goalkeepers.

Its just a game though so I hope people don't go crazy if the response times are bad in final version.

Well, that is true. You need to play it yourself.

i enjoy it too proevofan88 but its disapointing when you make a shot and it should be an easy save yet its pushed back out for a tap in,i own pes 6 and the gk are better on there lol
10/10 for graphics tho,and i think the rest of the game is great,im hoping that maybe after its realise a patch comes out to iron out the problems

What bugs me the most is that they are so close to delivering a pretty good pes game...

the response and keepers need fixing and I am sure that would take the game from a ( assuming it stays like demo ) 6.5/10 to a 8.5/10 or more....

I understand there can be a patch but I dont want that. I want the 60 dollars that I spend on it to be enough and not wait for a patch.

EDIT: they can use the patch to add more KITS and STADIUMS and maybe fake leagues...idc but it shouldnt be for gameplay unless they just completely missed something and RESPONSE and GK is not something one can miss

Thats the competition, why shouldnt it be compared to FIFA? If FIFA is a better football game then so be it, theres no need hanging on to a fallen game just to be loyal (and im not saying PES has fallen)

fair enough to compare it to the quality of FIFA! but in terms of the series going backwards from the 1st next gen game in pes 6! No I don't agree its getting better 08 was better then 6 and 09 was better then 08 and 10 will be be better to 09! I think FIFA is good! il either get both or PES 2010

im getting both as fifa and pes play differently,i also support a league 1 side so i enjoy the manager mode on fifa, but pes 2010 is what im more excited about and i never used to be a fan of pro till about pes 2008

Ok, played about 7 games so far. The shooting is back!!!

The laggy ness is ok to deal with, im exciting reading that it is going to be fixed on the final version.

The shooting reminds me of WE:2007 here statesside/PES 6. I can score bombs from far out again!!!

Fake shots are different how they work now, but.... i am still getting used to it, i've won all my games so far. PES is back gentlemen!

After a few hours multiplaying, have to say the laggyness is very frustrating, trying to keep the ball in, getting to the ball. Seems the sprint knocks it too far for the speed that the players now run at.

If it's true they've fixed these issues in the final version and made it more responsive like 09 but with the better gameplay I'll be very happy to stick master league on again and again.

Big Pes fan. However, the amount of people posting crap about how good the finished article (PES2010) will be, seem to have short memories. PES 2008 2009 demos were advertised as being xx% build, and yet when the game did surface, hardly anything major was touched. They better have sorted out the 'online' play in 2010 cause the pile of dog shit dished out for the other versions was and never will be acceptable.

My first football game was PES5 and I've bought every PES since. Then my first EA footy game was FIFA09.

All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with the PES2010 demo. From my experience, the lag in the demo isn't so bad since there was similar lag in FIFA09.

However, in FIFA09, the lag is caused by building up the power bar either it may be passes or shots. But I understand why PES veterans may find it frustrating since there is no visual aid for passes, but it feels right at home with shooting especially if one had previous long-term experience with FIFA09.

In my opinion, the improvements are enough to warrant a first day purchase.

Think most people on hear no matter what they say about the demo will be buying on release day. Although i think the lag does need fixing, it's more noticable when playing against a friend.

The more i play it the more i am liking it. If they sort the response time out and improve the keepers , that will do me fine. The keepers at times are really pretty good, but at other times pretty dire.

The shooting is very good too, graphically very impressive.

2008 was better than PES6??? Are you on crack?

And the FIFA/PES argument for me is all about preferences. I have always preferred PES because for me it's the real football fans choice. FIFA has always been for the pre pubesant boys who like tricks and glossy, shiny irrelevant detail. PES is proper Sunday league gritty real deal football. No matter how bad PES was at 2008 - FIFA will always be arcade and superficial (when I traded in 2008 - I played ISS Pro 98 on my PS1 Gens for the year! - Still better than FIFA).

Saying all of that - it's my personal opinion. People who prefer FIFA are entitled to that opinion. Games are a lot of money and it's important people buy the game they're most happy with and will enjoy.

As for the PES 2010 demo - for me it has hints of PES 5. For me it will be all the better game for that. Are there improvements that could be made? Of course. However it is a country mile better than 2009 AND it makes 2008 look like a deformed ginger child that has been cast aside by embarrassed parents.

It's a step in the right direction.
