Ok it was a stupid statement but why do i get a yellow card for making 1 contraversial statement in my 9 months here in which i said nothing wrong and said ONE sentence about another game in order to use as a comparrison.

They need to reinvent shooting though. On next gen long rangers havnt felt varied enough and i often see the same annimation all the time for shots. I think there needs to be a radical overhaulment of shooting as its an important piece of the gameplay. I think that they need to change the power bar. Atm its useless because almost every shot you take requires you to tap shoot which is annoying. Its like 60% of the shot bar is just empty space that doesnt need to be there. Theres no point of it being there cos it makes no difference. The whole of the shot bar should be used for shooting more frequently than just occasional situations.

True but sometimes you need the bar to pull of a fake shot...

Most of these sugestions are not hard for them to do, Konami just dont/havn't/won't spend/t enough money on the development, each year they just smooth out bugs from the previous.

pes2001 was a jump up from ISS as konami moved it from Osaka to Japan and invested more money for ps2 games...2001-2006 worked well with 2006 taking the biscuit..

as the managers of Konami are monkeys they think they can just continue this little bit at a time way and spend extra on marketing..!! if this was still ps2 era people wouldnt mind so much, but, when a generation evolves any elements that dont evolve with it are left behind, 2008 was dust, 2009 struggles to keep up and 2010 might just understand but i doubt will really get it, unless......

they only get a year do develop each edition.. what should happen when time is short ??? where do you focus when money is Ltd ?? what do you do when customers are becoming disenchanted with the game and sales are going to the competition???

Somthing they should of done for 2008, Increase budget for 'real' development and get better/more cost effective marketing/advertising !!! do it now for 2010, bring it into the era then they can go back to bit by bit.. do it now before you lose more customers and more profits, @£@%fifa@£$%^*

if they had done it for 2008 they could have blown fifa out the water. pes2008 was the most anticipated football game ever..!!

its simple and they know it, they just try to save pennies thinking people are mugs..!!! but as sales show, people are looking for more and its not about llicenses..!!

cant tell a monkey to do somthing without teaching it how to do it first..!!!!!!

unless they make real changes to the development team then it will still just be a bit by bit development...

How do we get them to invest more????

What you are talking about is actually their philosophy. In Japan it's called "Kaizen" or continuous improvement (i.e. baby steps). I'm not saying all Japanese game developers follow this model, but it's obvious that Konami does.

My most wanted list:

1. Make online work well.
2. Make teamwork a bigger part of the game. Don't reward hotdogging as much as good team play. Would like the teamwork to be more of a developmental thing (something you have to work on more), and have much more of an effect on the gameplay. I think this would make ML and BAL much more fun.
3. Fixes to BAL so that the strengthening system is more like it was in Fantasista.
4. 16 way control movement.
5. 11 vs 11 online.
6. ML improvements.
7. Hot and cold arrows instead of semi-random condition arrows.
8. More variation between different teams and the way they play. The have this for the players, but playing lower league teams is too similar to playing the best teams.

etc...

Of course, there are plenty of bugs to fix as well, like the players who freeze after they take a free kick.

Gta 5 is to serious and adult. I think they need to go back to something like vice city where they just made a simple, fun piss take of a game. They, like, pes have tried to become to realistic. The early versions of pes were great up till 6. They were tbh arcady and simple which we fell inlove. No they are trying to make a serious, realistic reincarnation of football to no avail. They should go back to something like pes 3 and just make a fun arcady football game thats fun to play.

Dude that's pointless.. If you want to play a "child's game" then go ahead and play the versions that you like.

And I really don't get your point.. How is PES09 more realistic??? If anything PES09 is that "fun and straightforward" game that you're asking for. It is easier than older versions like PES6 and PES5.

PES09 is "a fun arcady football game thats fun to play".. that's the main problem. Because we all know that "pick up and play" games do Not improve after a certain point, for the PES series that was PES6.

They tried to make it even more "fun and simple" with PES08 and PES09, but they have only managed to loose more and more customers. I think they should go back to PES6 and PES5 -and- start from there.

If the series is to improve, it needs to get serious. If it doesn't get serious, then I guess we'll keep playing the same pre-heated shite for years to come.

I think your spot on with the teamwork thing. Atm it feels like 11 individuals on the pitch and most of the time it comes down to passing the ball constantly to the 2 or 3 players you have that can actually beat their man.

11v11 would be like suicide. 10v10 would be a dream. I wouldnt trust any1 with going in goal. Even if they tried to play well they'd probably screw up every 1 on 1. Although offline i think being a keeper in BAL would be good because your rank and 10 peoples hopes arnt resting in your hands.

I see where your coming from but i cant see after years and years of exactly the same thing how they can just create something brand new. I mean its so far off i dont think it will ever happen. If and only they use a new engine will the series finally move forward. The gameplay has been the same for so many years not to mention the modes. We need new annimation, models and 360 movement like fifa.

Forget what i said b4, i was talking crap

Man, a youth and/or reserve team (with optionally playable matches!) would be amazing. Hopefully, they'd let you sign more than 32 players, too.

Last I checked FIFA doesn't have 360 movement either.

At least not on PC. Does it have 360 movement on the consoles? (PC version is not nextgen)

Probably not but its dam close. They have atleast 16 way movement and a physics engine that makes player movements look so natural, fluid and real.

Good point. I never thought of that keeper thing. Wow, I'd hate to be the guy playing in net who flubbed a howler and have 10 other guys online screaming at you...

I thought that was pretty obvious, but every PES site I visit people are hoping for 11v11. I think FIFA got it right with 10v10.

Maybe make it optional.

More divisions to work through in ML would be great, too. Start out playing non-league football, then work up through any number of divisions to the top.

Realistically, though, at least a D3?

Also, the other leagues in need lower divisions, if only for the sake of realism. SM Caen in '08 always finished the season with like 4 points, yet there they were, every single year, pinned to the bottom of the French League.

I like the gameplay of PES 2009. FIFA beats it in all departments except for attacking the goal which to me is the one that matters most.

As a PC gamer, I am happy to rely on community patches to bring the game to life over the very poor presentation job that Konami do.

However, online MUST improve or the series will continue to fade into the background. The last of the PES die-hards in my social circles is now playing FIFA 09 which is an undeniable bloody good game. To win the lost fans back, konami will have to deliver much more than just a good online mode (or even one that actually works) but to avoid alienating even more fans. ONLINE HAS TO BE WINNER FOR 2010. And somehow, I doubt anyone will believe a single positive word said about Pro online until they have tried and tested it for themselves thoroughly.

'Be patient', 'wait for a patch' will simply not cut it next time. The relationship between fans and this series has gone from love-hate to take it or leave it.
