Pes 2011 camera angle

Hey guys, overall i like the game but one MASSIVE thing is ruining it for me. We all get used to the shooting, passing etc.. differences. But I fear I will never adapt to the new camera angle viewpoint if its something the game insists upon.

The problem is this, when you run parallel to the goal with the coventional view you run in a straight line.. with the new camera angle the angle of the pitch viewpoint changes depending on where you are on the pitch. Therefore if you press up when you’re in the centre circle you will go directly up the pitch in a nice straight line. However if you try this near the goal-line you will actually move at an angle. The implications are that shooting and passing in the two most important areas of the pitch will be different to that of the middle part, meaning an inaccuracy in each.

If the game offers an option to have a panning camera instead of a fixed one then I take this critisim back, if not I fear it may prevent me from enjoying the game this year.

I noticed this earlier. Nothing I can't adapt to I don't think, but as you say, I'd like the option not to have it this way.

i dont mind if the options there. if not it kind of baffles me. I like the game other than that though. Apart from the fact that the power gauge cannot be switched off unless without if being off totally (including the free kicks [which you need it for]). For me its all about adding, not removing options.

Personally I think the new camera angle just adds a new element to the already refreshing gameplay. Considering the passing system is completely rebuilt and now excellent, I think the slightly wider and more distant panning camera just helps to really emphasise passing play as you've more vision across the pitch.

I think it's just a matter of adapting. It's nothing to worry about though as I'm certain there will be an array of camera options within the pause menu just like previous PES games. I can understand the concern though as Konami have been known to remove features for seemingly little reason.

The camera angle is a deal breaker. I thought the full version would have an option to go back to the old view but it seems it doesn't. Turning camera angle idea itself isn't that a bad idea but implementation of the control is. Why do I have to constantly adjust the direction if I just want to run straight? It is obvious to a 5 year old that the control has to be aligned to the field and not the camera. Unless the person who came up with this system is purposely trying to sabotage the PES franchise... I see no excuse for such counter intuitive system. I stuck with PES as long as I could but now you got one more converting to EA.

Maybe because no one in real life can sprint straight with the ball? Anyone sprinting with the ball always has to make adjustments, even if they're very small, the game reflects that to an extent.

As for converting to FIFA purely based on the camera angle. Goodbye.

No one in real life can sprint straight??? What are you smoking over there? Maybe that's the source of the problem. And when did I say sprinting with the ball? You can't even run straight in this game even WITHOUT the ball. That's the sorriest excuse I've ever heard.

i just bought the Game Today and for the first time i Hate an PES Game
always i had a good impression when a play an PES game for the First time
but this time it was a Huge disappointment

First the Game-pLay Camera angle which Sucks very Much and you cant change to the oLd style , WHY !!!

Second the RepLay Cameras aLso Sucks ! now you can't repLay Freely and Move the camera smoothly !! now it's very restricted to stupid angles that either focus on the Ground or The Sky !!!!

So So sad , but the passing in this Awesome a bit complicated but Awesome

Couldn't agree more. The restriction we now have when controlling replays is very frustrating, no longer can we view a free kick with freedom to look over the wall but instead the camera angle sits on the ground pointing up. This is one of those pointless stupid removals that Konami have made and it really makes no sense.

Despite some poor AI and goalkeeping (again of course), PES 2011 is a nice step forward and the gameplay is generally good. It's just silly things like restricting replay angles that annoy me as I used to really enjoy viewing replays and would often pause the game and view a replay even if just to see a good tackle or a nice looking cross etc.

Camera angles

The camera angle can easily be fixed by Konami.
There is a program for the PC called PES 2011 – Camera Settings 1.4 by MxSoniC. (This does not work for version 1.1 of PES 2011). The angles for the camera are hard-coded into the game and can be changed. The camera types are “Normal Close”, “Normal Medium”, “Normal Long”, “Wide”,“Broadcasting 1″, “Broadcasting 2″, “Vertical Wide” and “player”
Each camera type has angles which are
  1. Height
  2. Zoom (near side)
  3. Zoom (far side)
  4. Camera Angle
Konami should give us the option of choosing the angles we use for the camera. If 1 person can release a program within a week of release that can edit angles then Konami can easily offer us the option of choosing the camera angle for each camera type.
