I really like this game ive always been a FIFA fan but this year I appreciate the realism on PES.. But if Konami listened to the things u said I am quite sure that it will beat FIFA this year!

The 360 passing seems lyk it just has to be added I also want a bit better animations it's still a lil robotic but better than last year.

the game feels Fifa like IMO . Its like its becoming a hybrid.

I am playing both pes and fifa demos and I find them different. Pes doesn't feel like fifa. It feels alot different in passing especially.
I need more time with fifa though (been playing pes alot more because I think it's addictive). In my opinion, where pes succeeds, fifa fails and vice versa. So I think FINALLY we'll have 2 football games. I hope it stays like this.
BTW the shooting is not bad at all. I am really shooting well now. It seems that this year, shooting is less assisted and you need to point the analogue better. Though I am still not 100% sure about this.
BTW the feints are pretty decent in pes 11 especially with the combination of right and left sticks.
I know this was in fifa, but who cares. Both copy each other.

two combined things that ruin the game for me. The refs blowing for everything and never allwoing advantage (plus out of about 10 games i have seen 1 qucik freekick.) combine this with every single foul getting a replay and your forever pressingt the skip button. Why didnt they leave it so that you only get a replay if you get booked or red carded! I dont wanna see a replay of a non foul where two players have breathed on each other.

The passing and dribbling is 100Xs better. Not keen on crossing or shooting though. I had a corner with Munich and they had 2 people in the box and that was it. 0-0 at about 20mins it was stupid. And my players never seem to take a risk and attack the box when im in a crossing position.

Did you mess with the tactics at all? If not, take a look at Munich's and change them. they have a lot of def. possession settings when the game is level.

Based on my demo experience, I am overall content with the game, but there is one thing I can't get for christ's sake:

Penalties.

I dunno if it's some kind of weird joke or if the programmers were on coke for this part of the game, but I have not been able to score a goal from any of my penatly attempts so far. Hell, I wasn't even able to release a decent shot. Two went straight in the middle of the goal and the third one went only 'a bit' (read 5 meters +) away.

Computer, of course, has no problem with penalties so basically, if you play a tied game and know that penalties will follow, you can consider your game a loss.
People seem to dislike the penalties in the previous PES games as well, but when I compare the current penalties and the previous, I'm starting to love the older ones.

I dunno if it's just me and the penalties are the same as they were in the older games, but I personally take them as the most screwed matter in an otherwise good game.

As for refs - yes, they're freaking sensitive. If Konami ever makes a basketball game, they can use the refs from PES 2011 there.

The refs are definately a problem, all you would need to sort this would be the option to control how severe fouls were punished, I doubt we'll see one though.

And my players never seem to take a risk and attack the box when im in a crossing position.

Most of the goals I score are headers, I always try and cross the ball early round the last man and Klose is usally there to meet it full force. Haven't had the same success with Barca however, maybe its a team/stratedgy thing.

I've also found centre backs coming up for corners which is encouraging this rarely happened in 2010.

Is there a way we could give feedback to KONAMI (in an official way) so that some of these issues (like refs) can be fixed via a patch or something?

Well the last game where they actually called some fouls was PES5, so it sounds like a good thing to me. Not enough foul calls lead to a arcady game that favors the ball runners. Somtimes you need to take that foul to slow things down. In previous installments, this was non-existing.

One thing I don't like so far is the tendency to do bycicle kicks... from my players and the PC ones.

In every game I see like 2 or 3.... that's way too much.

Oh and the ref's have been good for me, played advantage a fews times, occasions where i was expecting a free kick to be given for a foul but just carried on. He's only given a free kick for 1 fair tackle.

Played a few more games yesterday and already likeing it better. I'm not "sold" yet but it's deff. better.

Still - though - I don't get the whole Engineered for Freedom-thing?! Passing is greatly improved - that much I'll admit. But the passes still seems (sometimes) a little too much semi-assisted. Quite a few times I still have passes end up at a player to whom I'm not pointing - and this I know because of this scenario:

I'm in the absolute middle of the pitch, dribbleing with Xavi from left to right. So imagine that Xavi is now standing at the exact spot from where you kick off. I have Villa about "1 o'clock" on the right side of the middleline and I have my leftback at about "11 o'clock" on the left side of the middleline. I turn Xavi and hold the direction a bit to the right ahead off Villa (approx. 13 min. past 12 on a watch) and my pass still ends up at my leftback, who is still standing at about 11 o'clock on the left side..??!
(Bit hard to explain - but I hope you guys get the point).

Are you guys using the manual pass button all the time or what am I doing "wrong", since I obviously have a problem with the freedom of passing?

Also still having the problem with keepers not being willing to pass the ball straight away when caught. This ruins any chance of a quick break-away… I've now tried the tactic with pressing RB (I'm on Xbox360) so the keeper will drop the ball - but that seems almost slower than just keep bashing the short pass-button...

And lastly: Triggering player runs... Does anyone think, that in the final version, some kind of tactical option (besides the "few" we've got now) will be available? The old defensive/offensive settings or something like that?

Is there anyone else to think that the defense in the new PES is somewhat screwed? It has happened to me many times that players simply let the ball pass them without trying to catch it.

It's just very frustrating that most of the time I cannot stop any enemy attack because I'd have to commit a foul. (be it a slide or just too much body involved)

Playing on regular difficulty, btw.

---

A bonus question aside for KONAMI:

How the hell am I supposed to score a goal when 50% of shots are off the goal, and from those that actually go towards the goal, like 3/4 go right into the GK's hands or are so slow that even my grandma would catch them?

"FIOREFAN. The normal passes are semi assisted not manual so obviously some assisting needs to take place. However the l2 button is manual and it will go where you want. But that's a bit hard to play with it all the time since pure manual is not easy. But the semi assisted passing still works great and it is freedom as you can still place the ball anywhere you want with only minimum assistance.

And lastly: Triggering player runs... Does anyone think, that in the final version, some kind of tactical option (besides the "few" we've got now) will be available? The old defensive/offensive settings or something like that?
Well trigger runs are much better than pes 10, but there's room for improvement. Maybe a trigger run button like fifa? Or some kind of tactic from the formation would be great.

The PES11 demo is utter gash. It really is.

Players feel like they are struggling to get speed up, every single one of them. The passing is horrendous. Seriously, on the PS2 I could not get enough of PES, I loved the game and loathed Fifa. Now, it is the other way round, PES is now gone, for good. Konami have fucked up too many times.

the passing is great, its the best part of the game, you just need to practice and get used to it. I do agree on the player part, they feel like a car taking off the line sometimes

I dont like the animation when u pass.. not on the player but on the ball itself, looks lyk icehockey.. But this game has a lot of potential and if konami wants to work hard they can make a gr8 footie game.. I'm also a bit annoyed when u shoot.. they go straight, they never bend..
