PES 2011 in PC + Joystick

I want to know what are the advantages of the analogue stick in this version of PES.

I've been playing with d-pad and I've read that with analogue stick I'd have 360-degree control over player movements and 360-degree control over passing (I don't know if through passes only or every pass) direction.

Is this true?? If not, what is it like?

and whatever joystick with analogues sticks I have is compatible?

360 pad best imo for pes on the pc .The analogue stick is in the primary position and the controller has got a nice size and weight to it (unl;ike the the little flimsy ps3 pad) plus pc games have alot of support for the 360 pads .

The advantages of analogue are more precision and left hand thumb abuse is a thing of the past .
