Piece of advice, don't make suggestions about what i should or shouldnt play, dont even fucking think about it.

The-game-cheats.

WENB (morons) have got an entire thread now dedicated to this issue, its totally unacceptable, yes it has existed but it was never this bad on ps2 to the point where players couldnt score with a wide open goal from 3 yards out, that is just not fucking on at all. I know its not totally possible for this to happen on modern AI yet, but if the CPU beats you, it should actually beat you with skills, it shouldnt take control of your players and make them do crazy fucking passes and shooting, i just fucking smacked in a 20 yarder off the post with David Villa, but when the CPU says so, he cant even hit a decent shot from 4 yards out.

Fuck sake mate, I pay for a fucking game, i dont expect these levels of CPU cheating, it was NEVER that bad on PS2, im sorry I cannot accept class players missing open goals like that, If i was being pressured, or if it was a quick shot, that's one thing, whats not fucking on, is when players are completley unmarked, they take a couple touches to steady themselves, they are facing the MIDDLE of the goal, shot hits the post, that's just too much and how convenient that goal would have let me take the lead against the CPU, its ridiculous.

Thats my opinion on it, and i was one of the first to rant about it, and people were saying it doesn't exist.......i come back to this forum a few months later, and now its accepted as near-fact. End of.

But when the season ends, and I've qualified for the CL, it all becomes irrelevant.

Nah, because if its a cack game, I wont even buy it mate, i aint a pes fanboy that will buy the game regardless.

Not to spark any arguements as this is a friendly debate, but I agree with mrguy. I don't get why anybody says the game 'cheats'. I've had tantrums and called it a cheat, but deep down I know it's not CHEATING. I am missing open goals online, not even against the AI, but against humans, so this isn't cheating. Mrguy is right, very realistic most of the time. Sure, some silly misses, but composure and body control and positioning is key on this game. Just my opinion man.

I'm not to arsed about missing the odd open net like some of you have said this shit happens, but when a pass going directly to one of your players in the centre of the park, then that players gets "ballphobia" and runs away from it and in your mind you know, the cpu will score here which they then do, it's a bit poor. I can understand some of this may need to be in the game but sometimes it's so obvious when it's happening.

A corner kick / freekick to the cpu when times up? I'm sure we have all seen them fly in. And yes that does happen in RL but the amount of times it happens is ridiculous. If Alan Hansen and Co were analysing my teams display week in week out, they would probably say. "they need to be alert for the full 90mins" lol.

I'm guessing by the scripting debate here though that it's still out in force in the new patch? Not tried it yet.

The game does cheat, so you need to get the ai scripting removal patch by Komu. This guy is brilliant and has actually edited the exe which is technically making it a new game (and probably infringing on copyright too)

A new one should come out in the next few days. Google komu patch pes 2011

This patch will remove some of the code that decreased on demand (or before games), some of the players stats on certain situations.
The idea of this code was to balance some of the in-game situations but is wrongly implemented and causes annoying "AI "cheating-like" feeling.. (some other parts that do similar functions are not entirely removed in this patch)

The last minute wonderfreekicks are fairly easy to avoid. Just put a man on the line behind the wall and head it away. Works 8/10 times for me.

I've not had any of the last minute freekicks since the official 1.0.2 patch, the scripting is still there you can tell but it seems a little more subtle rather than your players taking a sit down break for 30 seconds to let your opponent score.

But I'm only about 7-8 games in so only time will tell.

How have I never heard of this before?! Sounds amazing!!

EDIT: Which Komu patches do I need to get if I haven't already got any? Seems to go up to 1.07, do I need to install all previous versions and if so, is there anywhere that list what I do need to get?

Agreed. I see no cheating, scripting, etc. Never have.

Now, back on topic.

My impression of the patch? Pretty subtle. I'm not noticing much of any change to the shooting so far (on 360), but I never had tourble keeping shots down to begin with. Also, player switching seems about the same to me. I'm using semi-assisted, should I change this? I never saw a huge issue with the switching in the first place though.

Things I have noticed are that passes from AI seem to go astray more often. Also, not noticing a huge difference in the AI pressure down the wings, though yes there is some improvement there. In general AI pressure (tackling) throughout the pitch seems better though. I think for me the biggest improvement is that the GK and defenders (AI) respond better to crosses. I was finding crossing a bit too effecitve, and now it seems less so. This, if true, would make this patch very similar to last year's first patch, which greatly reduced the effectiveness of crossing (especially early crosses). This patch changes gameplay much less-so than last year's though IMO.

Played about six games so far, and in general it seems a bit more difficult.

The shooting is okay but what is the point of a power bar if you can only tap the shoot button or else it goes miles over?

I´m not talking about shooting from 40 meters with a defender, if I´m running with someone like Ronaldo or Zlatan I should be able to fill the power meter around 75% and have a really hard shot at goal. Right now if you see a bit of orange in the power bar its going into the 2nd ring of the stadium.

Patch has been out a few weeks and still no point in the power bar if 99% of shots with more than a quarter filled go sky high.
