PES 2011 stops frequently for few seconds

Hi,

I'm facing a weired problem with my pes 2011 . It stops frequently for few seconds and does not respond for the controller before it continues hmy: . It looks like it became interrupted by something and this occurs every 4 to 6 minutes and occurs online and even offline :crymore: ! My OS is Win7 ultimate 64 bit, ATI 3760. I've tried to reinstall the game again and again but nothing changed :no: .

Please help me asap.

I actually get similar problems to you, when I first got the game there'd be occasions where I was in a match (offline/online the same), and there would suddenly be pauses (or 'jerking') where the controller dosent respond properly. One thing i did notice was my blu-ray disk drive seemed to be thrashing the game disc more than usual (a caching problem maybe?), the game would suddenly minimize for some reason and return to the desktop, restoring the game window would then suddenly fix this.

This happens quite rarely now since i made a few changes since I use Win Vista Home Premium, that you should try also:

- Check the size of your desktop if its > 1GB move some files to other areas of your hard-disk, or
- check programs running by going to process explorer, or close any non-needed programs on your system tray.

Although I still experience this, i dont seem to get it as much now.

Thanks man for your help. I've started closing all running un-needed programs in the background using "Task manager" one after one but nothing changed. Finally I tried to inactivate the antivirus only and it works! It seems that the firewall of the antivirus or the hidden continuous scanning of the antivirus is making this occasional interruption with PES program. Now for the first time since I bought this game I can play it with no problems

I have the same problem. It wasn't there at first, but within last few weeks it has developed to a very, very annoying problem. I tried cleaning up my desktop, disabling anti-virus and stopping all un-needed programs. It helped for a while (only one jam per game; i could live with that) but then it came back, probably even worse than it was before.

Now I am kinda hopeless with this thing. Any more tricks/tips?

What OS do you have, CPU and RAM also?

If you have Vista/Win7 and your machines CPU and RAM are decent then another thing to look at is disabling a service called SuperFetch (a prefetching service used by Vista/7), while it improves performance greatly for general programs running on a Vista/7 system, its apparently not so good for playing PC games, (as im not going to go into detail about how it works) a good article is here describing how it works and how to disable it:

XP sp3, Q6600 (which I overclocked to 2.8GHz in a hope that the jerking would stop) and HD5770. I dont know about that superfetch thing, all the other games work properly (bad company 2, rbr etc)

Just recently as I played a few games, the problem was almost gone. There was only two jerks in three games. I didnt change anything, it just worked.

Seems like there is no reasonable explanation to this problem. I am going to try it out again soon and report what i've learned.

it dosent exist on XP so it dosen't matter, the only other thing I can suggest is the konami technical support website at http://www.games.konami-europe.com/support

Thanks for your support, I was able to play it totally uniterrupted for 4(!) games, nice!

I can't wait to find out what its like after reboot tomorrow... :|
My money is on massive amout of random interruptions. You never know...

Yeah, it seems like the game needs to be restarted few times (2-3) and then it works like it should. I have no idea why, but I dont care anymore.
