PES 5 / WE9 Pitches

Ok something that's always bothered me in the pes franchise is the look of some pitches.

Seriously, I've never seen a pitch on high level football that looks like the last pitch. And even if I did I wouldn't want to play on it in a game, and I don't! THIS PITCH REALY BOTHERS ME ! ! ! It's random selection so when I play a friend and that pitch is selected I restart the match, I can't bear playing on it.

Ok it's only one shitty pitch, so no big deal.

But the second thing I was wondering... have you ever seen a pitch with jagged lines like in the PES series?! Why not just make clean crisp grasslines on the pitch...?!

Hmm maby on PS3

That second pitch is almost impossible to play on, luckily in the patch I have got it was edited out.

I restart the match if I get that last pitch, too. :/ It's stupid, it looks like a ploughed field. I don't know of any real life pitch that looks like that.

The pitches aren't perfect, granted, but at least some are heading the right way. Also not sure about the non-straight lines, and god only knows about those ploughed furrows. No idea what that is about. The team I play for plays on a much better surface (quite good actually) and we are clearly not a national side!

On the other hand, I can't say I really notice whilst playing. For me, it's a minor niggle. The gameplay is what I love about PES. The graphics are coming on all the time, and most of it looks great. one pitch being weird and rubbish really is a small thing. There are much bigger issues to be resolved, like licensing, maybe second tier domestic leagues, whatever.

I hate some of the pitches in the games and only play on the ones that look nice. But with certain WE9 patches, they even replace the nicer pitches with ones that are too dark green. I think I'll make my own pitch patch for PES5 so that all the pitch surfaces are nice.

I don't no if your talking about the same pitch as me but on PES4 there's a pitch where the line's are realy thin and it make's my eye's hurt to look at it, I think it was origonaly called The Rugby Field or somthing.

I totally agree that gameplay is the uttermost important, but there are only a few pitches in PES4 (Haven't played we9 of pes yet) that look like a nice moisy soft pitch...
I wonder why the developers keep implementing those horrible looking pitches, totally unnecessary, don't they see that for themselves...?!

Just a remarque, cause I really idolize my Pro Evolution Soccers

The best pitches in the game are at the San Siro, Stadio delle Alpi and Old Trafford. They actually seem to have a lifelike texture to them.

That second pitch you are on about affects gameplay as well, the ball bobbles and moves about more on it, its crap!

I think thats just your imagination mate. I'm sure all the pitches are perfectly flat, just have different looking surfaces.

Anyway, Konami should get rid of that Cuito Cuanavale stadium (the one with the ploughed pitch) as its a South African rugby stadium and just seems a waste when it could be replced by the Bernabeu or Ibrox or summit...

Its not my imagination, try it out, its well daft. It does bobble more than on a normal pitch.

The pitches don't really bother me, but the texture could be improved.

I think that too. The most realistic kind of pitch there is on PES4 is AC Milan's one when its raining! looks good the way the ball doesnt bounce properly. Imagine when PES5 has snow it in! That should be good

I haven't got WE9, but does anyone know how the ball moves on a snowy pitch, ie does it bounce high because of the hard ground, and skid along the surface alot faster?

The only factor that affects the ball is the weather. It behaves the same otherwise, but if it's raining it'll slow down.

That plough field is annoying. Never play on it with a team in white, wear sunglasses too. It's so bright it hurts.
