they took so much out of pes 2008. it went backwards instead of level/forward.
they god rid of pes shop on the 360 in 6+08 which is so frustrating cos i can barely bought any of my classic players which i loved from pes 6 PS2 version.
memorial match went. was the best thing about pes 6 as me and my m8 could pit our ML teams against eachother with each players stats the same in and out of the ML
scoring annimation got worse as a 30 yarders for some reason didnt even make me raise an eyebrow. on pes 6 and mainly pes 5 a long ranger was better than sex
the AI got worse as they made 'our' players way over the top in dominance. their 'top class' difficulty was a piss take. after 1 season i felt ready to take it on and when i did i didnt loose a match for 3 seasons.
out of context, something tht annoyees me in 2008 is that for example say your just running towards the goal and you move 45 degrees in an attacking direction the player just seems to toe poke it weak as fuk about 10m over the bar.
the editing went out the window and why? its not like their a poor company but it seems they couldnt afford to get adidas and nike signed up to them hence no kits to choose or boots. hopefully they buy it this year.
refering to an earlier point, they took from the master league buy taking away many classic players which personally i need to sign to make the gameplay half decent
the music has got more annoying than ever. i want to see seabass's ipod to see what he has lmao.
they made the keeprs worse. i mean i thought it was just somin that happend to other people but the more i played the more rediculouse it became. like a 2 mph shot straight at the keepr from 25 yards away and he feels the need to dive for a start and then punch?
i own a 360 but i noticed that the graphics, when my m8 bought it, on the ps2 version were actually worse than pes 6's by actually quite alot. it was alot more pixelated.
they lost 2 big prem team licences replacing them with teams only 'supports' of that club cba to play with. some acceptions on who chooses them ok but wtf. i mean they must of been on a mission to save money last year with all the cut backs.
took away ability to defend.
made the players smaller and made the pitch bigger which i noticed straight away and didnt like. i think defending and tactical gameplay would flourish on a smaller pitch.
took away tonnes of stadiums
bundesliga went even though i cldnt give two shits about it cos all their teams are crap i know alot of u do care about it and it shouldnt of went
cant pick the ref anymore

its like EA'S bought the rights to everything from goal nets to individual brands like adidas. i mean somethings are so obviously stupid like not having a decent edit mode that the only explanation is they got bought out of it. i think sensible soccer had more licences etc lol.
no stadia on pes 2008 is next to the pitch which is taking away from pes 6
shuddery replays were diabloical and if you were watching a shot it was so zoomed in that you cldnt see anything that had happend - subracting from pes 6
no free training during season
mark lorenson was non-existant so the 'comments' guy was better on pes 6
All i want is for it to return to the class of the PS2 era. they were all golden additions. I just feel sad in my stomarch when i think back a year or two on those cold, cosey wintery nights where you snuggle up and play ML for ages. thats what makes pes so good is that cos its the winter and gets dark so early your almost forced into playing it and it was almost an excuse to play it. those days were brilliant for me.
PES was just THEE GAME that you just did not sell at any cost and placed higher than any other. i buy and sell ALOT of games and pes is the only game i keep all year and i play it vigouressly all that year aswell. i used to go in and out of phases like 2 weeks where it got boring but when i got back into it i loved it just as much as i did when i first got it. but with pes 2008 i never got into it which made me feel sick and as pes is the only game i give any real attention to i felt very alone without it being there ( i sold it in january). it should of been in my top 3 of all time but it wld barely get into the top 50.
My main point is that i realied on that game for my gaming needs. it was the one game that i could play all the time any time and did not have to be 'in the mood' to play and now i have nothing like it. i just need a sports game and never going back to fifa i need pes to be there because its the only good sports game. the only game ive kept in the last 5 years longer than pro evo is cod 4 which i just sold. it must be one of the few games ever to be so much worse than the edition b4 it.
well ive let it all loose, plz tell me your views on how/if you miss the good old days when winning used to be satisfying
