to be honest, when i was playing the first pro evolution soccer, during a match things would happen that seemed too predictable. it didn't bother me as it did seem to mimic real footie even more than through the gameplay. like dominating 90 mins for the computer to seemingly help out your cpu opponent and you'd concede a corner in injury time. and yes you guessed it, the corner resulted in a goal. i thought i was the only person who noticed this. i dont see it as corrupt though.

Haha this thread is hilarious, well except that it's not and its just pathetic. How can a game be as you described it 'bent' ? And Im pretty sure every game and movie etc is scripted as it would be fairly impossible to make it otherwise.

yeah...its always been in the game.....no your not the only who has noticed it......but in recent times it has become more and more blatant to the point of it making a mockery of the game...AND IT HAPPENS IN TWO PLAYER MODE EVERY BIT AS MUCH!!!

No big deal u may say...afterall its a computer game so of course the AI plays a huge role in determining the outcome...

*(mind you, when you consider how serious some people take this game scripting AI is no trifling matter. A guy I know won the PLAY £50K competition. I seen his game. His opponent pissed all over him but the AI just wasn't letting him score. Then Marko runs up and gets a lame arsed goal right at the death with his one and only attack of the game.....I was pleased for him....but this just highlights how disgusting the PES 'godmode can be and IS)

You would not believe the arguments I have had about whether PES is 'scripted' or not. Of course it bloody is but I have been abused and patronised by total teen noob idiots over this matter on this forum and other forums also.....usually with the majority feeling tey have the right to dish out abuse (with admins on their side) whilst I get banned/booked for retorting.

So now the games creator has inadvertently admitted that it exists.......

The scripting or the 'gameplay momentum engine' affects 2 player also....Not very fair is it? Meant to be a competition between 2 humans decided by the abilities of two humans....not a damn cheating 'scripting' engine. You should go talk to the loser of the £50K PES 2008 competion final......see what he has to say about the games 'scripting'.

Funny how now that this is public knowledge everyone is acting as though they knew and thought that all along.

Where has all my former "ITS NOT SCRIPTED...YOUR JUST RUBBISH AT THE GAME...YEAH< BUT THAT IS FOOTBALL....GO AND PLAY FIFA THEN" brigade disappeared too all of a sudden?

Well, did you see what he wrote to Don, saying he has a 1.5 inch penis, and that he has to put something to make 3 inch, i think that guy got what he deserves, when you make a post like that, like the one matthecat made, he is only asking for a rude answer.

But, yeah, i apologize, i should have send him a PM an tell him that's not polite, but, sorry, i got angry at that post, plis i just don't get people who the only thing they want to do is trash PES in a PES forum.

hmmm i think ive agreed with you in the past on this but not fully, of course the game cheats you by making you constantly miss shots and so on in the odd game, it does happen, ive seen Arsenal waste chances galore before, and in the Euros one of the Bundesliga top scorers in Toni missed 6 pretty easy chances in a row not even hitting the target, it happens, be sensible and if you keep missing, take it round the keeper or get a rebound, its not scripted to the point its unplayable or extremley frustrating unless your shit.

your initial post does make you sound arogant, like youve just uncovered the biggest conspiracy since 9/11 and want praising for it, theres no moral victory here

How exaclty does it affect 2 player? That doesnt make much sense as the person is pressing the buttons and deciding what to do, pass or shoot etc so how can that be already scripted?

i think he means it decides if you miss or hit the target not too sure but thats what i understand from it

Completely agree with you.. But is that all you really want to say?? Because if it is, is rather Pointless.. Most people in here already know that the game is scripted. So you are spot-on, The game is Scripted, Do you have any suggestions on how to make it better??

Maybe we could send a Peticion or something -and- hope Konami reads it -because- The Randomness of the AI can and SHOULD be fixed -but- By just moaning about it Nothing will change.

Whilst I have moaned like hell about scripting, cut-back goals etc in the past.....Since I havent played PES this year at all, I am kind of detached from all its little insanity inducing flaws.

Just claiming some glory. I argued this for donks and got pelters on this forum and on many many others.

It sometimes bugs me too. But I I wrote a thread about that. The reasons. The bond people had with KONAMI has been broken after last year disappointment. For allot of people this game is the only game they play, so people are frustrated.

Too bad sometimes people keep doing what they do best and that is moan.
