The only reason PEs isn't what it is supposed to be is because people here defend the game to much. Even an idiot knows that PES should have been FIFA09 and FIFA09 PES.
If you gonna think the next PES will be truelly NEXT GEN then you might want to kill yourself right now, cause again to much people defending the game. I think the game is pretty good, but come on this is NEXT gen, i am not going to defend it, i am not even going to buy it. KONAMI has to listen to their fans
they can't even include untucked shirts, change the ML after so many years and FFS make a new engine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my God, somebody that understands my post... We're exepting shit from the people who made the very best ever football games, they got comfortable, and now they've just reskinned PES 6's engine with new textures and called that next gen graphics, they left the ball physics (and inexplicably ruined it!!!), player animations, sounds, movements... Just everything has gone downhill since PES 5 and 6, why?!
They would have been better off just releasing PES 5/6 again and again with new players, because they have made rubbish since, no where near as rubbish as say FIFA 2005, but still, when FIFA has been given a chance to become as good (comparitively) as it has, something has gone terribly wrong at Konami!
We don't need to blindly defend this and just hope that it makes what we are saying about it true, because the longer we defend rubbish like Fanboys, the longer we'll need to be fanboys defending rubbish!
But it doesn't feel like PES 5/6 anymore. The defense could tackle better, and there was far less space. Goals actually... They felt different, even the sounds were better. The ball physics was better, it was great. But even if that was re-released now it wouldn't be as good, they needed to move forward, they needed to make that leap to next gen, but didn't!
I ended up playing PES 6 last night (I would have played PES 5, but I seem to have somewhat lost it now) in order to see just to remind myself a bit... I ended up playing 10 games before I stopped.
As much as I wish I could say: "Good work Konami, you've done it again!" I just can't, they killed it for all money!
people expect way too much this year apparently. this game was never going to be a revolution. everyone in the industry admitted that. PES 2010 is when we will get the new engine apparently. That is fine with me, this game is good enough to keep me hooked until PES 2010.

I'm actually stunned by what your saying here. Okay, if you have played the demo and enjoy the flat ball, robotic feel that PES 2009's demo seems to have, then fine enjoy it, but don't watch a video and declare how good it must be!
