[PES Update March 2011] Speculation about players getting better stats

Hi all!

As we know by now that the winter transfers update will be mid-March, I wonder which players you people suspect to be improved in their stats like it was done the roster update some months before. I hear a lot of people screaming for an update for Wilshere for example. After seeing his nice performance when Arsenal - Barca played last week, I would be quite irritated if he didn't get improved. Who else do you think is worth buying in the MLO before the update? Which players in any league available in the game do you think most probably will get improved after what you saw the last half a year in football broadcasts???

I think, Kraft, Bayern Munich's new 1st goal keeper could be improved too... So, who do you think will get improved?

Because it was done before already and its logical to adjust players stats after seeing the performance of them after half a season. For example they improved the stats of Toni Kroos of Bayern that last update too. He was so cheap @ beginning with a few hundred thousands as base price and a rating of 60 something and after the update anyone who had him got him improved with a base price of 2 mio + and a 7x rating.

BTW: I'm so jealous about people who still have Diego in MLO! I want to have him tooooooo!!! So dont forget to buy the players which left to clubs not represented in PES before they are removed with the update!

That's the first I have heard of that. I would think that changing the stats of players in MLO might lead to rage from people who see stats go down, or maybe they wouldn't do that...?

Do you have any other examples, or was it just this one player?

Hey! Well, I cant tell u of any other players. But maybe there are others on these forums who can confirm with their experience... I wasnt about buying the cheaper players at release time in MLO which changed by now. I also don't expect players to be downgraded as it'd surely be unfair for some... But that doesnt mean that the other way isnt righteous cuz I generally only expect talents of young age to be upgraded. Müller i.e. they gave quite a decent stats right away and there are probably young players of equal quality who showcasted what potential they can pull off.

If I was to buy one player then it would be Wilshere.

Also, maybe Van Persie's stats might be even better, though I'm a Gooner obviously so a bit biased.

I think Wilshere could get a stats boost. Maybe Carroll.
I'm hoping our 3 main centre mids will get a boost ie Holden, M. Davies and Muamba. They're all rated low 60s on PES, they should at least be low 70s!

After thinking about it some more, Wilshere might not get an update... In Konami's history they tend to leave young players stats very low so that they have room to develop. Still, his performances this year should warrant even a small change.

Maybe it would apply more to players who are already older but hitting form though? Personally I think Nasri has an under-rated shot and defense/strength, but I doubt those will improve.

It would be great if they tuned down AI scripting which makes them equal to any other player on your team that has way better stats.

Updating player stats will not change anything, you will still get pushed around by worst players in the game. The AI on PES6 was perfect, cant they understand that was a GOOD thing? Oh wait we have to pay $60 for a new one that always missing something vital every single year.

I am not buying their next installment for sure and i never will play FIFA because i am PES fan, but playing us stupid all these years and just being lazy making a half ass game and consider it a blockbuster game with such a high price?

Don't just agree with the crap they sell, you shouldn't hope for them to do something right, IT MUST BE DONE. If they have 1 year of bad sales they will notice that their quality stinks. I have been dumb and supportive for last 6 years and i am done with these half ass games. Without this community and mods they wouldn't survive and we still don't get decent game.

Sorry, i am just pissed off when i check these forums sometimes people asking for something and nothing gets noticed.

I can give an example of a player who was degraded: Obinna. I had him in the beginning, then all of a sudden his 90+ stats were all mid 80's. I don't recall getting any money as compensation, I was pissed off at the time as you can imagine.

I'm curious to know what happens with players who go to teams not in PES. You mention Diego still being at some teams in the MLO? I assumed those players just disappeared and you got their value in cash.


Anyway, regarding players possibly getting an upgrade, here's who I think might/should be considered:

Brian Ruiz (should get stats similar to Suarez)

Scary to hear about the decreases! Again, I knew nothing about that...

If I owned Arshavin right now I would be thinking about selling him!

About Diego: I played an MLO gamer two weeks ago who still had him in his squad and he said he bought him before they took him out of Juventus, so it looks like if you keep players who leave to non-represented clubs in PES they will stay with you until you sell them.. forever... I wasn't aware, I'd have put all my money into getting him cuz nearly all OMFs I can find now - though many are awesome still - are not the type of player I want to have in the offensive midfield. ... Shame but don't worry, I won't die!

2. About Kraft: If you read well through this thread you'll see that I already mentioned him being a possible candidate.

And by the way: Here you have your confirmation by someone else, Canadian! I bought Wilshere now for safety, Nuri Sahin (Dortmund is 1st with a big gap to the 2nd place in the Bundesliga) and after yesterday Kraft is definitely to be bought too. If they don't get upgraded, give a f$!k - just sell them again. Though I must say whenever I play 2on2 with a friend as Bayern we put the current real eleven so we put Kraft in the goal and he is really not too bad already. When someone hasn't got the money to buy these players for the bench - I have it luckily - then I'm not sure what to do. But one thing for sure: They will be much more expensive even without consideration of the plus you get when lots of people buy them - after the experience with Kroos from 800k to 2,x mio!

If this happens it'll be wierd, yes they have made some mistakes with low ratings of players but they've also overrated players.

Thanks, yeah I forgot where I heard about Kraft, then after watching him last night I thought I might pick him up since he's decent anyway (I still have Ivarov).

I also picked up Wilshere, but unfortunately a lot of people have already bought him, so I paid quite a bit more than his base price. I guess it all depends how Konami end up rating him...

I'm also looking at some Japanese players to buy. Konami tend to favour them, afterall :happy:. First couple which I'll consider are Nagatomo and Kagawa.

I think there might even be a possible downgrade of Kaka? He's not been the same since moving to Real, not really his fault, just unfortunate with injuries.

I also think the determination of a load of Blackpool should be upped, got to love their "bounce-back-ability". Brilliant to watch.
