PES update

I don't normally edit stats, but I'm gonna have to this year.

Here's the Porto team:

http://www.pesmaster.com/fc-porto/pes-2016/team/192/

I only edit blatant issues like Neves had last year. Imagine Pirlo with 10 more points in heading than passing...

I must say Porto is quite good actually. Lichnovsky shouldn't really be there, same with Gudino, although they might play in the future.

There are some incredible mistakes in stats though. Layun's speed, dribbling and physical, Brahimi's speed, but most of all, André André physical.

btw André Silva will be one of the best strikers of the game, mark my words.

Expect this all the way through, it won't be fixed. I think I said the same last year but it is worth repeating...

I was part of the team involved in creating stats etc for PES 2015, if you listen to Konami everyone involved was a OF maker or editor, but in truth half were just people who have never edited, but are prominent in the community.

If a player had previously been in the game the values were all there with default values for anything that was new, same goes for new players they just had default values. If you didn't update them then these default values went into the game.

I would say the same has happened this year (I didn't take part so can't say for sure). Last year I reported errors to the manager, but they were ignored, I expect the same this year unfortunately....

So, are you saying that the part of the community that does the stats for the live update are also responsible for the having the squads correct in the live update?

Yeah, looks like he's unattached. Stupid Konami. And for some reason, his national team alter ego is called R. GALSWORTHY...... wtf??? How the hell are people supposed to tell who the fake name players are when the names are like this?

This is the stupid crap that really makes me shake my head at Konami.

paul2478 This is interesting. May I ask if you were made to work under constraints of time (reasonable or otherwise)? What sort of experience was it to work for konami? I bet they have better editing tools than we have at our disposal.

From memory we started in April & had to be finished by September. It wasn't really working for Konami, just being contracted by them to complete the work. No tools, everything was submitted via a web interface.

It's a nuisance.... 2 of our (Bolton) better defenders are 2 of our worst rated players in the game. Looks like I'll be doing a lot of editing this year before I start my ML!

I think you might mate.

Last year we only worked on the game up to release, after that it was all done by Konami. Not sure how it is working this year.

I cant imagine myself playing PES without editing stats, players appearances and so on. These are the first things I do and yes, there is lots of stuff that needs to be corrected in order to have more realistic view. List of what I found and had to edit from last year: player skin/nationality - there were few mistakes, but not that much. Almost all player faces are random (the ones who dont have special facebuild), so I would spend hours making them with at least some recognizable traits. Stats/positions needed lots of work as well. Some stats were purely default, super over-powered or dramatically lowered, with everything at 40. Some with glitch, that had goalkeeping at 80, despite player being an actualy goalkeeper, midfielder or a striker. Some positions were wrong. For instance, I had to redo most of the Ligue 2 myself, since it asked lots of editing from a to z. A fair amount of players were also missing, so had to create them myself too.

The good part is, that I love editing. Sometimes I spend more time editing and fixing, than playing the actual game. :D haha. And its also one of the things why PES is more personal, warmer game to me, than FIFA.
