PES09 Skills are Automatic?

Don't "NO" me you fool... You might like to be spoon fed, but I personally prefer a challenge.

I disagree then..

By the way, the only fool here is you, are you that offended by a simple "NO".. How Sensible can you get?? Grow up dude, seriously.

If you want a "Challenge" for any BASIC move -then- you should Definitely go for FIFA09, it haves Excessive Dribbling Tricks, and many of them are Complicated.

Yeah, I don't really prefer tricks when I'm playing footy games. Specially the ones in Fifa. Half of the ones in Fifa I have never seen done in real life. I kinda feel that Fifa put those tricks in to attract young football fans and more casual gamers. And in that respect, their method does work.

They are very useful in real life.. What I meant is that they don't seem very useful in PES.

If they had an Actual use, they would make a great feature.. but if it's nothing practical -then- it's pretty Pointless.

dude.. you can do that in the game....the same thing... especially against your friends... it's so humiliating when done correctly... I use it all the time... against the keeper, defenders, it can creat quite alot of space... when done properly the step over is very effective

Then I need to try it more.. but the few times I use it feels as just a "Visual Detail" with no Actual use.. But you're not the 1st one to say it works -so- I will definitely try it.

Wouldn't it be cool if the "Dribbling Accuracy" and "Dribbling Speed" Stats where Divided into more Specific Stats?? Like Step-Overs, Cutting the Ball, Shielding the Ball, Stepping on the Ball (drag back), Explosiveness, etc, etc..

I'm hoping that happens in the Near Future -as- it would add a Significant amount of Realism to the game.. as well as it would add a New dimension of Individualism.

ya, I agree on the extra stats...wou be nice also, inside and outside of the foot shot stats, little things like thaat.... what I really would love though, would be controls like left leg and right leg controls... or something like that... but thats unpossible...

Would turn the Controls too Complicated for the Gameplay.. It's better to leave it at "Weak Foot Frequency" and "Weak Foot Accuracy".

But anyways, Stats to determine Specific Dribbling moves would be great. I think "Dribbling Accuracy" and "Dribbling Speed" are too Generic, it could be better.

I agree, they shouldn't make it too complicated.

But stats like "work rate" and "big game perfomance" or something will work quite well!

I agree, they shouldn't make it too complicated.

But stats like "work rate" and "big game perfomance" or something will work quite well!

"Big Game Performer" should be determined by the "Mentality" Stat -and- an in-game "Confidence Level Gauge".

If the Confidence is Low during Gameplay -then- the player's Stats should go down -making- the player harder to find, harder to put in the game, harder to play with for that given time.

The higher the Mentality -the- better the Confidence Level.

This way we can have really gifted Players who really aren't that "Consistent", who tend to Disappear when it matters the most.. players with great Skills -but- Average Mentality.

So if you're playing a Man Utd vs Chelsea -and- Cristiano Ronaldo haves a Confidence Level of 50% -consequently- Ronaldo should drift out of the game, his Dribbling Stats should go Down Momentarily, etc, etc..

I'm sure a Similar System will be (Eventually) Developed.. hope it's sooner rather than later.

^^^ That sounds awesome!

I also think that a work rate stat will be a good idea! Someone like Tevez will have a rating of 90 or something!

Read this in the net from RYU99... Can anyone confirm if all the right stick moves such as lob, 360, etc is vanished??

Apparently in PES09 the skills are automatic which is pathetic I mean look at what EA is doing, the amount of realistic skills they have incorporated into the game is excellent.

I was hoping PES09 would finally add some new skills and animations to the new version but what do I know they actually managed to take away what works without adding anything new.

But EA ‘s game is too sloppy for my taste if only the game play was as good as PES standards.

Watch the above video to see why the Marseille turn is so important in the game to make it automatic is useless.

Hopefully Konami gives you the option to configure your own controls so you can still use the right analogue stick to the 360 turn manually.

Pathetic post.

true... i never liked step overs in the game really though... same as fifa... they dont really do anything... in real life it sells as a lil dummy.. but as the game is a computer brain and not a human it never sells and you just end up doing one for the sake of it, lol

yeah, but you add a little turn at the end of it and beat the defender, then score, it makes a simple replay look so much better, i do them alot, and a few other skills just because i like the 'beutiful' side of the game, i hate scoring shitty goals on pro evo so i try not to, its much more enjoyable than constantly sprinting past defenders and tapping in/passing back or getting a rebound.

FIFA on the other hand, sure they have some nice moves but 19 times out of 20 they are useless, and even when i beat a defender and it looks good the finish or pass afterwards never looks good, and the rainbow flick is a stupid inclusion, i try it all the time in a kickaround but theres no place for it in a competitive game, if i did that and last the ball id get my ass kicked by my teammates!

I am glad they did this. In Pes2008 i saw defenders and even goalkeepers do weird stuff.
