i found tht pes1 when playin it after pes2 is harder to score it took me 3 10 minute games to get a goal and tht was penalty, its much faster and u never have time to shoot cos the balls nipped off ya foot try it!!!

Ive played a few games of PES1 recently and i can see what you are saying. Its interesting that you say PES1 is faster as i think it is a slower paced game as you cant run past players as easily as PES2. I prefer this as the more skillful players will usually come out on top rather than those that just try and run past you all the time.

Hopefully PES3 will turn retro in this respect.

Hi

a stimulating simulation.

From the first few minutes of playing WE7 it felt the true sequel to PES1. I just couldn't get into PES2 despite a few months of stat editing and went back to PES1 and have been playing it ever since. The beauty of that game and football at the highest level is that it isn't easy to score, every chance and by extension every goal has to be worked for. PES1 captured that perfectly.

WE7 has essentially regained that all important factor, which makes the whole thing just that much more satisfiying. On Pes 1 and on We7 i often go 2 or 3 games without scoring on 3, 4 and 5 stars. Creating an opening for a shooting opportunity is just a lot more tricky , even when you think youve got a shot on, a defender might nip in and take the ball off you.

cheers

Bob

I played PES 1 last week. I only played one game which I lost, I was so shocked about the graphics. I thought they were better.

But PES 1 is still the best. I hope PES 3 is as realistic as PES 1.

The graphics in PES2 hardly moved on from PES1, however the framerate was made alot smoother and the kits less shocking. Im sure the kits on PES1 were designed in the dark ;)

yes i must say that i think that pes1 is much better "in game play" than in pes2 it fills so much more realistic and becos its so much harder when u do get a goal then u fill as if u hav worked for it where as pes2 its so easy man it pisses me off. i cant wait 4 pes3 and i also need to get a x-port

1 thing i found from pes1 to pes2 was the MASSIVE leap in stats!!! to me this made the game thats much more unrealistic (but i must say that some player in pes1 was so much underrated) how r the stats in pes3?

the only thing which is better on pes2 is the options it has and the masters league!!! oh and senegal!!!!!!

If you want more teams and stadia, you're heading in the direction of becoming a fifa boy!

Gameplay in PES1 is better than PES2.
But PES3 will be better than everything else!

PES1 was so hard after i played PES2 for 6 or 7 months. Its certainly the most entertaining and the toughest of challanges.

man am i the only one who HATED PES1? it was the first PES game id ever bought and i thought it was way too clunky and unresponsive. i enjoy PES2 much much more than PES1 even if it is alot easier. hopefully when my WE7 disk comes tomorrow (fingers crossed) itll have the responsiveness and smoothness of PES2 and the realism of PES1. that would be nice :D

yeah the players stats!

There is an improvement but they're still not totally accurate. There are about 20 underated/overrated players that I have noticed so far.

Most of the player stats are remedied with option files, however (along with formations etc.). Be happy you're getting that X-Port.:)
