I don't think it's the player stats that change the feel of the game - when a player gets more well known, his stats improve quite a bit.

I agree that it's best to use the option file created by fellow players who know the teams and players - hopefully they won't be biased if they are fans of a certain player (or if they hate him).

Man I loved PES1! Thought it was the bomb, played it and played it until the CD broke, then I bought PES2 and my initial reactions were - what a crock of shite - thought the gamplay was too clunky. but then u get used to it, now i think its as good - plus the extra options on master league - nice

I loved PES1 when I first bought it but after 7 months it was boring. When my DVD laser was broken i played PES1 for a while. Man it was hard! I couldn't dribble or give a pass without a man came and took the ball.

i still maintain it is incredibly difficult to score or bend, it feels more rewarding though when u do score

Yes I know. Me and my m8 used to play PES and now PES2. In Pes I used to win perhaps 1-0 or 2-0. But in PES2 it is so easy to score that the result is perhaps 9-6.

played pes1 last night for the first time in about a year, and it feels slow, so skill is more useful, but i think the feel of pes2 is more enjoyable.
also i forgot all the little annoying things that were ironed out in pes 2

i have to agree with mikeyboyz (even tho ur a man u supporter :) hehe)

pes1 was awesome and i was disappointed how easy it was to score in pes2..star players are too strong.. but after editing the stats the gameplay is betta than pes1. pes2 for me allows for more variety of play, master league and editing mode also rules!

Im playing PES right now as we speak, Master League with Chelsea on 4 stars. It was pretty hard at the start, bought Larsson to give me some points and after being 2nd in the division 2 (PSV was 1) i moved on to Div 1 where Barcelona was like winning every match in front of them they had 15 games won in a row

But i hanged on somehow and got some draws but never really lost a match except for a match against Barca at home

I bought Van Basten and the rest is they say is history ;) Won that league and i now i just bought Cruyff and Gullit (i love them old Dutch players ;))

Anyway my first post on these forums so take it easy on me :D
