I just tried out pes2008 on PS3 and I was chocked to see the terrible graphics and framerate. As a PC gamer I notice these stuff immediately, but you don't hear much about it from console gamers, are you guys used to this crap and don't notice it or what's the deal?
The reason I'm so surprised is because there's such an incredible hype about the PS3, and all the movies you see looks incredible etc etc (false advertising?), so when the price drop finally arrived I went ahead and bought myself one, and with it pes2008.
My first thought was "what the f*ck is this shit?"
The damn framerate during replays and shit is just not watchable, we're talking 10-15 fps.
The graphics, I guess I can get used to them but that doesn't make it good. I switched to my computer and compared it and it was a different game graphic wise.
The TV I'm using is the latest shiet from Samsung, 40" Full HD etc.
I'm probably just gonna play the game on my PC if I can get my friends to do the same. It's simply just not as fun on the PS3. I expected sooo much more.
Now, I know there's no FSAA in any version of PES but that's still something that you miss ALOT on the PS3 (I'm hearing it can be done but ppl just can't program for the PS3 yet... whatever), not having any FSAA takes away alot of the realism in the games, and if you're like me, used to pretty PC games, you can't help but be bothered by it when you play.
Sure, it's not fair to compare PC to PS3 blablabla but from now on I'm gonna laugh at everyone who's saying PS3 > PC. Hell, in my book it's even PC > 360 > PS3.
I've also downloaded lots of demos and there's actually decent graphics here and there, but mostly it's just a huge disappointment.
Worst 450€ I ever spent. (edit: oh yea, add 60€ to that for this shit game)
