Just a little update, the Photobucket monthly bandwith limit has refreshed and the Screenshots & Picture-Tutorial are now viewable again.
However, I have left the links to the alternate source for the images just incase the bandwidth limit is exceeded again in the future.

A wierd issue with PES08 on my Vista Ultimate 64bit. I dont know if this has anything to do with this operating system.

I re-installed the game by un-installing using the CD option from the disk rather than Add/Remove Programs -> control panel in windows. This returned the game to its original state with the xbox controller image instead of the PS3 controller.

I then installed the Official Patch update 1.20 from Konami website. After installing these, i then load the game go into exibition match to see the result I then see the PS3 pad image replace the xbox one. When select this and try to pick a team from english league the game crashes with windows message problem with program.

Also the wierd bit is that when i install the official patch the emblems change to real ones supplied by deckz although i did'nt patch the game this time round using deckz update. I cant get around this as i have done this several times now. I have also deleted the KONAMI folder from both locations C:\ drive and documents folder. I also deleted associated folders/files from Regedit.

It's getting on my tiiiiiits. Any help! :(

I cant get this game to work on my vista ultimate 64 bit pc. I can do it on my vista 32 bit laptop..

when I try to load the shortcut.. it says.. Pro evo 2008 is not installed.

Im trying to install a fresh copy without any patches 1st..
I even changed the registry location to Programs Files.. then tried the Program files x64 location
any help for vista 64 bit much appreciated..

Is the source of your installation an actual DVD, or isit an ISO?
Cause if it is an ISO, you may have patched the .img files.
I know it may sound wierd but this is the only possible explanation i can think of since it would be impossible that the DVD would have patched .img files.

And have you deleted every .img files when installing the new one?

If your fresh installations doesn't work, try this sollution...it was posted by Mr Thomas a few pages back:

Well at 1st.. I downloaded the game on my laptop.. I patched it with all the names and kits.. it worked fine..

I then transferred the exact contents into my PC via my network..
I was hoping to avoid the whole patching process..
I put the folders and save files in the exact locations

It didnt work.. im not sure if when u patch a game.. it installs only on that particular machine..


So I decided to download the game again, fresh from the same site but this time direct on my pc..

I thought a fresh copy would work.. but no.. same thing..


Ill keep trying.. does anyone know if its possible to burn onto a DVD so the patched game is read directly off it..

I have deleted any file associated with the game. when installed the game i then checked to see if it was normal, so i loaded the game and it was back to original state. After this I also installed official patch 2. I then loaded once more to check and it was updated with emblems just like in the deckz championship patch. I then was suprised to see this as i didn't patch the game with your patch. I tried playing a game by going to the english prem league. This then crashed the game just like before when i patched it with deckz update. I dont understand what triggers of your patch after i install the official patch 2?

Sorry, I can't really help as I do not own and 64-bit systems to try it on.

Have you checked the .img files on your actual ISO files to see if you have accidently patched them instead?
Use Game Graphic Studio to search the files within the ISO (mount it first), and go through the .bin files within cv_0, cv_1, and rv_e.
The emblems are "flags_128x128_8092.bin" and "flags_64x64_8093.bin" of cv_0.img.

If they contain edited emblems, then you would have to 'acquire' another copy.

If they are the orginal default emblems, then I am completely clueless and as puzzled as you are...sorry.

Hope you can find a solution man.

Just got it working! (second time of asking) my fault though skipping through the instructions. All working spot on. Thanks.

Panzram - Wigan and West Ham kits are fine in my one, if it bothers you just try installing it again. If you haven't got the original PES files leave a message on here and i will send you them.

heres one thats really puzzled me - patched the PC version fine, imported the option file fine.

everything worked fine for the last 3 days. until today, booted up pes pc, and it asked me for my skill level. thought 'odd' it shouldnt have done that.

then i realise the option file hasn't loaded and although badges are ok as theyre patched files, but obviously team names etc etc are defaulted back.

upon trying out loads of things, it seems that pes for some strange reason will not load any option file and keeps reverting.

re-installing the game didnt help either and for the record im on XPSP2.

can you shed any light on this?

Sorry forgot to mention I am installing from a Original DVD. I am gonna try the following:

Uninstall the game using DVD. Delete all the patch files i've downloaded incase theres a link. Also delete files from C: and documents folder. Delete from regedit.

Then install the game using a fresh copy I bought again from play.com. Play the game in original state and save the game data. Then patch the game with a new download from deckz thread.
