As i mentioned mate i will be buying the best there is the day it comes out. . . dont worry about that and much like you i have been playing pes since iss days. . . but why shouldnt konami be making us excited how can you accept oh its better than fifa so im happy, who gives a flying f*ck about fifa, we know its sh*t but i get p*ssed of that pes either gets worse or gets worse and then average then worse again. . . why not make it better and listen to what we ask for every year. . . the same issues come up ie currency in master leagueif you go back to forums from pes 4 5 and 6 i bet you see us asking for the same improvements as we are this year, and will be next.

The Only reason I'm buying PES09 is because it (seemingly) is the 1st Football Sim with Graphics and Gameplay. I would like to play PES5 in HD Graphics -as- I'm tired of playing with the same Old crappy Graphics.

Anyways, after PES09.. I don't think I will buy a slightly Tweaked version of PES09 in 2010. Konami better come up with a "Complete Overhaul", a "New Engine" full of Completely New and Improved Animations -or- I don't see myself buying PES 2010.

A version of PES5 with Graphics would easily last me for 2 to 3 Years, so I'm already thinking of skipping a few years -and- then buy PES 2011. Just to really "feel" the leap from a PS2 game -to- a Next Gen game.

Look, we will never know exactly how we feel about 09 unless we play it. Why take the word of one gamer at a magazine ? His tastes may vary to yours or mine. He has said that the new shooting physics are annoying and will have you frustrated when you first play it. Well for me thats great, i want to be challenged by PES every year, learning a whole new way of scoring will be brilliant.

Personally i don't want a great big overhaul from Konami, i have loved every PES that has come out, and despite what people say about PES 2008, i'm still playing that today, and i'm sure it will be the same with 2009 whilst im waiting for 2010. Little, noticeable changes here and there are good enough for me, we have the CL license for another 4 years, a brand new mode to explore, and a brand new up to date Master League to get stuck into.

Im sure next year there will be something a bit more radical.

Sometimes I just don't get certain reveiwers/fans comments? What actually is it that they want Konami / Seabass to change about this game?
Ever since I started playing the Pro Evo series, ISS 64 to be exact, I fell in love with the whole feel, look and immersive gameplay that this game bought to the genre. Up until this, FIFA was the best footie game on the market since its debut on the Megadrive, following on to the PS1. For the first time, Konami made you feel totally in control of nearly everything you did on the pitch, from the control of the ball to the little flicks or tricks you could pull off to get that much needed goal. Ever since this game they have made little tweaks such as animations, cut scenes, different game modes etc, but have always stayed true to the overall feel to the game that made it so good in the first place. As the same with everything else in life, there are only a certain amount of modifications you can make to something without giving it a complete overhaul, or starting again from fresh, which in essence would lose what made it so great in the first place. FIFA for example is now a totally different game from 5 years ago after undergoing a complete graphical and gameplay overhaul, and it still cannot encapsulate what makes Pro Evo all that it is to us lovers of the game.
So the point I am trying to get across is this, lets all be happy with the little improvements that we get out of the game this year, of which i'm sure there will be many, enjoy playing with the new players bought in to our favourite teams, enjoy the moments when you pull of a new little trick or a slick move with animation that looks better than the previous game, but most of all appreciate how lucky we are to be playing such an excellent game and faithful rendition of the game we all love. Football.
It could be so much worse, imagine if Konami went back to the drawing board and lost some of the magic that has been Pro Evo for years and bought out a totally new game which just wasn't as good as the last 8 or so games in the series, you might end up turning to Fifa as it might slightly remind you of what Pro Evo used to be............. See U online on 2009! (fingers crossed they've sorted out the lag)
Enjoy!!!!

Thanks mate. Been looking at this site for month or so now just to find out any little bits of info on the new game, and all the negativity has been doing my head in! All of us REAL fans will hopefully have a great game to play for the new season, I personally cant wait. Glad to know there are likeminded people out there, hope you enjoy the new game too.
By the way, could you tell me how to start a new thread, I'm struggling to work it out? Kind regards

When you click on the section named "PES 2009" before you click on any existing threads. Look in the top left corner, just above the blue bar that says "NOW VIEWING" . It says "New thread". Click on that and post up what you wish.

To be honest mate, people will find anything to moan at if they can, i know, i'm a Liverpool fan haha. They moan for more licenses and Konami gets them the 2 biggest clubs in England, the biggest club competition in the world and 24/32 teams in that competition fully licensed !. Yet then they moan about what they could have done with the licenses. Just take each negative comment with a pinch of salt.

People are moaning that the seperate CL mode will get boring very quickly, but then couldn't the same be said for the World Cup and the other non-ML modes that have always featured. Use your imagination for gods sake. I just can't wait to get my hands on the game and give it a test run, i'm sure there will be good and bad like in any game but i'm not going to take the word of anyone till i try it myself.

Hang on, the banter me and that numpty had lasted about 3 posts, you being a little site enforcer and attempting to tick us off has lasted nearly double that. Now what did that have to do with PES 2009 ? Oooo I see a dandelion growning, go get it seen too sharpish !

Anway, back to topic, do you guys really think the Become A Legend mode will be as disappointing as is described in the review ?

I wasn't trying to be a site enforcer, but as I've said numerous times on these boards already, it's fucking annoying coming into a thread when you think you'll be seeing a worthy post, only to find people talking about cocks and mothers.

And actually, I made ONE post asking you to take your pointless discussion to PM. The other was in response to you, seeing as you asked me a question.

Yes, back to PES 2009 we go...

I don't think BAL will be disappointing, but it depends you mean by it. Some PES fans are looking for perfection with it, so I have a feeling it'll be something along the lines of "good, but could've been better in so many ways".
