[PES3] Jonboyo original kit patch - jb12.11.03kits.ppf - 12 Nov 03

Yes, you can only play patched/backup games on a chipped or modded PS2. Check jag87's sticky thread at the top of the Editing section for more info on these methods.

Burn patched games onto a normal CDR using a CDburner. First you have to rip your PES3 DVD to bring it down to CD size. Again, there are simple guides for doing all this and they are in the other sticky threads.

1. Rip your PES3 DVD (doesn't damage your DVD at all)
2. Patch your image of the game.
3. Burn the image.
4. Play on a chipped/modded PS2.

what is an DATA_E.AFS’ file?

My problem lies here

3) Extract the file ‘DATA_E.AFS’ onto your harddrive (Right mouse click on ‘DATA_E.AFS’ in cdmage- ‘extract’), keep cdmage open.

4) Using ppfomatic patch the ‘DATA_E.AFS’ (not the bin!) with 1.12.03anyripkit.ppf

5) Import (Right mouse click on ‘DATA_E.AFS’ in cdmage- ‘import’) the now patched ‘DATA_E.AFS’

instead of using patches to correct, players names, teams etc is it better to use X-port's options to do this?

only when I had my memory card in, none of the sponsors kits showed, is that because the option file is out of date as it were

If you're using a patch with sponsored kits, you need to go to Edit mode and then edit all the kits so that they are back to Default mode - Then you will see the real kits looking good. You'll have to do this for home and away of all the teams that have had kits made for them in the patch.

If you follow jb's patch guide, it explains what you have to do to the data_e.afs file. It's inside the bin. You right click to see it and then you have to extract it. Patch it and then import it back into the bin (while leaving CDmage open) - along those lines anyway.

Like I said earlier, the patches that need you to fiddle with the data_e and stuff like that are the older patches and you should just use the Monster one which is just a straight ppf patched onto the .bin.

I think the newest jb 1.12. must be applied to the data_e.afs and not to the image

There is a sticky thread here in the editing forum where to get patches.
This patch is for the rip of your ORIGINAL pes3. No discussion about piracy. ;)
Use my ripping guide to get a CD Rip of your PES3 DVD.

I really don't understand why people want to get older patches when newer and better ones are available.

Look at Zyg´s post ;)
A patch has about 50-80 MB, so people cannot host more than one patch at the same time. There is the 1.12. jb patch, so probably he has this patch on his site.
You should always visit lomungtung when you want a patch, I cannot help you, I cannot download the 50 MB´s and host it for you ;)

so many patches are there,i really do not know which one i will chose.
but i have heard that 'firstly use the [jb22.11.03] patch on the CD image, and then add [jb22.11to1.12.03] patch to patched CD image.'
as u said, can u tell me which patch i should chose is the newer , better and integrated one.

You can take the jb 22.11. and the the update patch 1.12., like you said ;) You could also take directly the 1.12., it is on lomungtung's ftp server, check the sticky thread about lomungtung's ftp-server here in the Editing forum

Sorry to be a royal pain in the a** guys but I don't have a chipped PS2 but I want to have the ad boards, chants and everything else that comes with the patch rather than the downloads to max drive and such. Once you guys have got the patch onto your PS2 am I right in saying that you save the patched option file onto your PS2 memory card ? If so, can I send someone a blank memory card, an SAE and let's say £5 for your trouble for you to copy your patched option file onto my memory card ? If noty, then no problems but if you could then I would be eternally grateful !!!

Thanks

A patch has nothing to do with your memory card. A patch is graphical information that is physically inserted into the game (i.e. into your back-up copy of PES5) and then burnt onto a DVD-r. An option file affects only small, things such as formations etc.

You need a modded PS2 (chip or slide-card/swap magic) to be able to play a patched version of PES5.
