Has anyone played enough of both to tell what the differences are? I have heard that dribbling and tackling are harder in WE7i, but is that only against the computer? are there any other differences?

I have not got both games but i should expect that both are about the sAMe but we7i will have a few more additional features - boots, etc.
I saw a screenshot with a player taking a penalty with a one step run up

i have both and can confirm that the dribbling is harder in we7i/jap. vs. the cpu. there are moments in a game when you can beat a defender 1 on 1, but they are few and far-in-between (kinda like in real life), so you have to take advantage when the situation rises. as far as the tackling, can't say for sure, as i try not to slide-tackle if i can help it. anyways, for me, i can't go back to pes3. i'm too used to this vers. now :)

sorry, i hope you weren't talkin' about the we7i/u.s. vers.

Yeah, i guess I am. do we know if US is any different from Japan? this is complicated. but as far as tackling goes, i was talking about standard :x: disposesions.

i believe that the consensus is the jap.version is better. as for the :x: when defending, its about the same as in pes3..."it's all about timing." :eek:

Crap corners and crosses in WE7I:Jap though. I just can't seem to get any spin/power/spped in to crosses or corners in WE7I:Jap. Any suggestions? Or am O just right!

Hold left or right to add curl. Using players with better curling stats gives you loads of curl. Hold R2 while taking corners to add distance.
Hold R1 to add speed to set piece kicks, possibly also while holding UP.

Maybe try holding L1 when crossing to see if there is a difference. And mix it up with single tap O crosses and double tap O to cross too.

WE7i Jap is better than pes3 coz it's a slight update. i.e. I feel the refs are more consistent and the game seems to flow that tiny bit better. we7i USA and Pes3 are the same game.

by far we7i is better! i have both and to me it has the feelin of pes1 which i think is the best football game of ALL time (on gameplay) pes3 is good but its to easy to dribble and break the defense!

PES3 is too easy even on 5 star level, when you have decent enought squad, you are practicaly unbeatable and PES3 is also more "arcadish" compared to any from WE serie. I have both games, but on my PES3 copy is nice dust layer while WE7 i play all the time.
