Yeah, Zygalski is right, its not an option file I am looking for. I have done the whole option file bit. Basically I have always thought that the prefect football game would lie somewhere between Fifas menus and data and Pro Evos actual gameplay. As far as I can tell this is kinda what the patching does.

I have managed to track down the full game on usenet pre patched with one of the patches mentioned at the start of this thread. Hopefully it will provide what Im looking for.

I will post back once its downloaded.

Anybody else also notice that the DarioX patch seems to run a little faster than X-Group and the original or is it just me?

Im so glad someone else noticed that the gameplay has actually sped up on the dariox patch. I am considering just going back to old school version just because it makes the game so much more enjoyable.

Can anyone tell me if any of the other patches speed up gameplay.

A hava a problem with the file o_text.afs from the dariox patch. When I extract it, there is an error that sais that "the file is corrupt". Anyone else has this problem?
Another question: Is there the possibility to burn a dvd with the patch included (I mean with the original file replaced with the pathc file) without copy the game and the patch to xbox hd?
I try to do it and all goes well except for the kits that are the same of the original version.

Yes, it is possible to to burn a dvd with the patch included. You simply replace the files included in the patch, with the original files, then create that into a .iso, and burn in onto a DVD.

Hmmm.. not sure about the kits that you mentioned.

About the kits: For example: with the dario patch manchester united kits should have sponsors and should be like the original manchester united kit. But when I install the patch nothing change and the manchester kit ( like any other kit except the ones that are licensed: italian, spanish teams kits...) remains the same with the simple red colour and no sponsor. Is there the possibility that my version of pes $ is wrong? i have a normal pal five languages version of the game

Seems strange! I have patched PES4 twice now and never had any problems with kits.

I know that when I upgraded to X-Group 1.2 I had to delete my original option file and start again.

May be of some help.

The other things (new intro, backgrounds, music) work. Do you know in which file of the dario patch are included the kits? Anyway, I will try to download the x-group patch and to download again the dario patch. Both patches have the kits with sponsors, right?

I have never had a problem installing the X-Group patches but then again I haven't tried Dario's patch.

I think it is 0_text.afs that has all edited textures for the teams kits and yes they should have full sponsorships etc. etc. Once it is done correctly your version of PES4 will look like FIFA 2005 and play like PES4. Brilliant!

It works!
The files that I had downloaded were corrupted, but now it works.
There's only one problem, if i do training mode the game stops while loading and I have to turn off xbox. Do you have the same problem with the dario patch?

Again, I have never had a problem with this either.

But in general....... It's great when you first patch it isn't it? I must played my version for about three hours. The next day I patched it for a friend, he didn't stop being nice to me for at least a month and still smiles if I mention PES4.

The Dario patch!!!!! I am still downloading this at the moment, torrent is taking ages as only two people are seeding it. If you fancy giving it a go yourself then here is the torrent file.

Hi, im currently running the pes4_modpack_v3.exe mod. But wich of these four is the best? I see everybody likes the first 2, but why. what do they have? in the pack i have there is modified outfits, more stadiums, new boots, new balls. It just like fifa, but with the pes engine . But im really curious about the other two, but i don't feel like messing with my files again if there not better.

Anyway, I would easly recommend the Dario X patch. I have just finished downloading it and I can see why loads people think it is the best you can get.

I have never tried that pes4_modpack_v3.exe but from what you typed it only seems like it changes kits, boots and balls. The larger patches change everything from that dogshit intro movie to touching up the pitches.

It's worth downloading and you don't even have to use the provided option file so you wont lose any data, well I didn't anyway.

the best patch is the baustoff v.2.1. you can get it on xbox-sky. beside the common changes(kits,balls,shoes,...), it has all transfer updatred, many faces, new stadiums, a new menu-appearance and corrected stats of all players.
