i got hold of pes4 and have played a few games and i think that it is a lot slower than we8 you seem to have a little more time to decide where to put your pass and player speed is slower.

although i have only played master league and players may not be upto full speed yet even though i am man u with proper players

and the corners seem to have changed where i put the power bar on we8 seems to kick the ball further on pes4.

also the keepers have made some amazing saves from headers so i dont think it will become easyer to score with your head as i know some where worried about that

well i agree to disagree....the game does some slow in areas but overall its been added a little quicker then WE8 even people on evo-web are saying its a lot quicker mate.

I agree with Wiserommer, it's defintately faster if you are playing with the good players. Maybe the Master League starting off will be different, but I'm sure once you get going and start signing better quality, you'll notice it's a touch better.

i would be very surprised if its slower, pes series have always been quicker than we series. i will test it for myself.

it is slower but as i said i started master league which could be the reason if my players are not up to top notch

i havnt played an exibition match yet i am going on master league matches that i have played

Ive only played it against my mates, not in master league, but the game there at least is definately FASTER. no shadow of a doubt. There is also much less slow down, but i have had one bout of it so far.

People are forgetting that some people play using 50hz others using 60hz which makes a BIG difference. I have also noticed that TV's differ as well in a strange sort of way. I have a mate and when I play the exact same game at his place it is marginally slower than at my place but we both use 60hz and have Sony 29" TV's!

Wierd but true. But from the PES4 videos I've seen it seems faster than WE8. But then again it could be a problem with the video playback speed etc. Complicated question really.

The game feels faster but I did a test with WE8 and PES 4 (PS2).
I took two players with the same attributes from both games and in the free training mode I let them sprint from one penalty-area to the other, in a straight line. Both were equally fast; I clocked it!
The difference is that players turn a lot faster and that the ball-speed (at passing) is faster. One touch is more direct as well.
That makes PES 4 faster.... :)

Your wrong, must be your TV. But PES4 is faster, no doubt. On 50 and 60 hz! Tested on a Hitachi 24" 1996 :) and JVC 26" 1999.

I used one TV and played both WE8 and PES 4 at it. Players started at the edge of the penalty-area and ended at the other side (the other penalty-area). It took with that player 9.7 seconds in both games. So the driblling/running is equaly fast. The reason for the faster speed I told in my previous post.
