I think it's alredy been confirmed many many times what is it that makes PES "faster". So stop posting anymore. It's pointless, if you like it, GOOD; if not, then play WE8... Simple.ploppyjim said:having played them one after another, both on 60hz, PES is faster. you can say its my imagination if you like, but is faster. no wide screen tv or anything else. the game is different to WE8, there are a few subtleties in there, touch some shots, and hey why not, speed. PES is not just a translation of WE8.

P.S. I hate it to death and feel PES3 was spot on and felt real.

It's people perception. ACtually I find it funny how some people claim that game is faster on 60Hz than on 50Hz.
Reason why there is an increased refresh rate option, is to reduce flicker. That;s why more and more TVs have 100Hz.
Research has showed that people notice flicker on 50Hz, and on 60Hz as well but a lot less. Optimum refresh rate for human eye is 75Hz+. (Tell me now honestly, how many of you just changed the refresh rate on their monitor???)))))
It is very simple, as Han did it. The game speed is the same, but due to the flicker and different size of the signal (NTSC signal is more streched due to less scanlines than PAL) people perceive the game as faster. And as ash noticed, there is difference between TVs as well. Of course there is. Not every TV has the same type of tubes, same connectors, etc... Hitachi and Sony or Sanyo or LG it's all different. Some are sharper, some smoother, some flicker more some less. It all depends on the quality of the parts and equipment.
IT SEEMS that players run faster and that the ball goes around faster, but the thruth is, its the same engine, reproduced through different signal type which gives false perception of faster game.
If this nonsence that 60Hz is faster than 50 Hz, than on my monitor on PC, PES3 would be twice as fast on 120Hz than on 60Hz, while the truth is, the game is the same speed just smootherAlso, WE7I(US) and PES3 on PC are exactly the same speed.
For all the reasons above, there are inconsistencies between people perception of the speed of the game.
I wish if everyone could stop confusing people with this speed issue.
