(PES4) Online For PS2 STILL Not Ruled Out and XBox Live News

I think konami where looking for a console with its own online server, because i doubt konami want to pay for a server to host the pc version of PES4, seen has xbox has its own server it seems to be the best answer

Yeah. Pc users deserve pes4 online. Its much easier to set up a pc server and you would be able to use it for free, unlike on the x-box where you have to pay gay Gates (Bill). More pc users have internet than x-box. I would rather upgrade my pc and internet to play it on pc than get an x-box.

yea exactly, pc games was built 2 play online, if they make it online for pc, more people wud come and play it thr with a ps2 joypad using a usb adaptor!

All konami had to do with xbox is make the online feature and microsoft will run the game

i dont think thats the issue mate, i believe that xbox got PES4 online the first is becauz the big Microsoft paid major big bucks on that!!
I have xbox but have played the ps1 and 2 versions all the time at me bros place, the PS2 people should get the most credit for making pes and we such a big name in game industry but, they simply dont have the own good stable servers xbox has, so i think its all best like now
(i mean i have an xbox lolz, with convertor for ps2 joypad so no loss of gameplay for me )

Microsoft runs a very tight ship with XBOX Live which makes it very popular with developers - all they have to do is support the option to use Live and Microsoft does all the leg work with the servers.

As only broadband is supported, Live is faster than PS2 Online, as well as being far more secure and with a much better infrastructure; everything goes through MS and the subscription pays for all games (unlike the PS2 system where some MMORPGS incur additional fees).

This is probably why PES4 is on Live but not PS2 Online - the latter would take much more work, and the result would not be as good. The same reason can be given for not having the PC version online (assuming it isn't); setting up a whole online aspect yourself is much harder than letting Microsoft do it

i cant afford xbox? LOL i can afford it pal, i just prefer spending my money modding and upgrading my pc, im only into consoles just for pro evo 4, and it will b a waste 2 spend over 100 on xbox just for 1 game 2 b played online, while i can just play a better game (half life 2/ counter strike 2) when that arrives... im just pissed cuz its not online on pc thats all, read my other thread about online play wid pro evo4 and u realize that im finding out if its worth it at all... konami just cant afford 2 put it online on pc....

it could be sh!t online for all i know...
