The option file thing. Don't forget the database for players is a lot larger this time, and so player ID's have probably changed so the PES3 option file won't be able to do all of them. It was the same with WE7 - WE8 option files if I remember correctly.

I agree with the slowdown, still happening for me. But if I play in 50 Hz it removes it totally.

PS This version we have is more updated than the version that had been sent out to magazines. ;)

Ok Guys just played 2 hours of PES4 non stop.

First thing I noticed. No Slowdown. Does this have something to do with the refresh rates of teh television as well as the pal/ntsc difference, i'm not sure since I get no slowdown in either mode. Game is a little faster it seems to me and response is a little better than WE8.

I think the passing is much improved, I can get some amazing through passes and long passes with zidane and some others highly rated. Speech is even worse than before. I missed a goal by about 20 meters and i get "awwwwwwwwww that was so close, even the crowd thought it went in...".

Once again it must be the difference between pal/ntsc but graphics look so much better with this pal PES4 compared to WE8. Colour is much sharper.

Headers are not necessarily easier, but a lot quicker and with a little more force and touch depending on what you are doing. Makes for some nice goals. In the hard mode I beat china first game which was a little disappointing, I would have hoped even the easier teams would be hard to beat in the beginning. I used Australia.

Overall guys I think the best improvement as with WE8 is with Master League, besides that I would actually even settle for PES3 (except for those annoying fouls). PES4 will take some time to grow on you, about 2 hours for me lol.

Oh and most importantly there are no Japanese people screaming "awwww nice goalie.."

Any noticed players in English teams are licensed?

RVN has his real face and name at Man U. But in Netherlands its a fake RVN.
Same with Baros at Liverpool.

If this is true could someone post a screen of Baros's face with Liverpool, coz before I only saw is fake face and it was crap....I'm hoping the Liverpool face might be better? :rolleyes:

I have tried PES4 on 2 different PS2s and there is slowdown on both - in certain stadia. Will check it out a bit more later.

are all leagues updated, so are atalanta on it, just wondered cos i am managing them on champ man and have some quality youngsters

fair play to ya!! cos im from europe and i only wanna play the european version, lets actually listen to the majority of owners of the games, the majority have PES not WE and isnt this supposed to be fun this website, i feel the need to put on a pinstripe suit everytime i post summat can we please let somethings go!

If you care enough about wanting to know what's in PES4, you can go to the WE8 threads and find the answers in there. The games are virtually the same. Why would people want to answer the same questions again and again? If you ask repeat questions don't get upset if they don't get answered, that's all.

Which one, play of the HD and get no slowdowns, I'll test those stadiums with everything full blast. I think I get slowdown when i use angle 9 wide, not for default though :D

Are Palermo, Cagliari, Messina, Fiorentina, Livorno and Atalanta in the game? Seeing as Palace, Norwich and WBA are in it would be a disaster to me if the new Serie A teams are there. If they're in, could someone please post the Palermo squad as well?
