PES4 - PS2 or Xbox?

yeh xbox all the way......more space to save replys, better controler(the small controler x) and better graphics. Yeh the xbox may be big but when you play a game do you sit stairing at the console, no, you play the game for the game

I own both PS2 and Xbox, but bought PS2 first. I was always anti-Xbox until a friend introduced me to Halo. The problem with people who only own PS2's, they know their machine is inferior & get proper defensive about it, that's how I felt. I don't want to hear all that 'the best games come out for PS2' crap, speaking from an experienced gaming point of view, I honestly believe the best games have or are being released for Xbox. The PS2 doesn't even come close to what the box can do, & that's gonna become even more apparent over the next few months, especially with the PS3 being a long time from coming. Once PES4 comes out, all you PS2 owners should buy it for PS2, but if you know someone with PES4 for Xbox, then you should deffo give it a go, & don't blinker yourselves.

alll this ps2 is better than xbox pish is a load of crap get a grip play on both machines you will see a difference in graphics for the box version and who knows with konami
might get online with the xbox version as the ps2 is not online
as for the controller by the controller s is the same size as a ps2 pad
the big benefits of the xbox version is that if your machine is chipped you can patch the shit out of the game and save tons more stuff like your fav goals or shots
because of the harddisk rather save to pishy 8mb memory cards roll on november 12 for pro evo x

white=change player is a littel bit difficult to play with, when you are in offence, cause long balls are auto aimed by pressing :L1: + :circle: . I still play pes 3 on pc with my xbox pad. I will test your config. My config is/was :

L trigger skill = :L1:
R trigger= :R1:
x= :square:
y= :triangle:
a= :x:
b= :circle:
white= :L2:
black= :R2:
right analogue skills

Fair enough, but I reckon the games are rubbish on the X-box ! I made some rant about it on another thread, you can't beat the Japanese at making enjoyable., innovative games. Also for a console that was an extra year in development its only improvement on ps2 is slightly clearer graphics, I'm not gonna part my cash for it.

I tried really hard playing an Xbox game more than 35mins but I just can't because my fingers stunned after 20mins of gameplay (plus too much anti-aliasing 30fps not good for my eyes). However this never happens when playing with PS2 controller, which is very important cuz I play 50mins matches.

I don't know really...Better graphics, faster loading times. The only thing holding me back is the controller and the fact i've been playing pes/we on my ps2 for years now. I'm still getting used to the xbox controller( i just bought my greenie 2 months ago) and the absence of R1 and R2 is not good at all cos i use the r2 quite a lot and the black white buttons...ooh Cant imagine using those to change players etc. I've heard about tht magic thingy using the ps2 controller but tht's only available on ebay rite?

And um i really really hope the game is Live-enabled. Would be amazing, can anyone comfirm this?

Are you sure about this? Most of the decent games for PS2, GTA, PES, etc. come to Xbox, + Xboxxers get more. Halo 2, Doom 3, Half-Life 2 for a start, PS2 wouldn't even handle the title screen of Halo 2. The graphics are much better, true, but you forget about faster loading times, better sound, faster smoother gameplay, custom soundtracks, 4 pad ports, I'm beginning to sound like Bill Gates. You stick to PS2 love, but I've made my decision based on actually owning both consoles and playing lots of games for both.

There is a cable that "transforms" the controller input so you can plug in your ps2 controller into xbox. Try searching for it on e-bay. There's a cable for using PS2 controller on PC also...

And on the top of it there is ability to link two consoles and then play maches in separate rooms on 2 TVs (newer versions of PS2s CANNOT be linked as the link input has been removed), and then LIVE .

Whoever is questioning xbox games is not really a game fan. Check some of the newer titles for xbox, AMAZING. Ninja Gaiden for example, WOW!!!

I have tried playing pes3 and WE7i on PC with xbox controller and to tell you the truth, I don't think there will be ANY problems with S controller and PES4. Yes, it takes few minutes to get used to it, but hey, that's how it was when PES FE first came out on PS1 and shifting from FIFA controls to WE/PES's.

Why??? Simply, coz' we CAN, and because not ALL people can afford 2 GB of RAM memory and US $700 graphic card to play those same games, and xbox handles 'em fairly good. Promoting those games for you is contradiction??? Yeah right! Let's buy new computer every few months so we can play newer games and promote them for PC... That's not contradiction my friend, that is monopoly and NONSENSE. Give me a break with your contradiction and play whatever system and games you like, but you cannot throw away a fact that xbox is a lot better machine with currently a lot better games.

Halo 2 Half-Life 2 and Doom 3, Great, I love FPS's so much I'm gonna buy three of them !!!!!(that was sarcasm by the way.) I know Xbox makes good FPS as its a PC in a box and owned by the Grand Geek Bill Gates... but considering my ps1 collection consists of iss, gta, tekken, gran turismo, final fantasy, metal gear solid and stupid "drunken" games with a dance mat, I thought the transition to ps2 would be better for me. Fortunately Microsoft left it to late for me to be disappointed with the ps2, and I'll grant you recently there have been a few good games on xbox but I'm not gonna pay £200 so I only wait 15 seconds instead of 25 or so I can sit there and say "the detail in the crowd is soooo much better." I'm not a Microsoft hater but I think Bill Gates has proved his money-grabbing-lack-of-respect-for-the-consumer attitude when with all the money and technology he has he brought out the Xbox.

I have an XBOX I got rid of my ps2 when the dvd drive start playing up my XBOX has a 120 gb harddrive and Slayers evox in stalled so games can be installed to the harddrive therfore avoiding the problem I had with the ps2. When the psx system is released I will probably by one of them as long as the thing is mod-possible, has a big harddrive and a better dvd drive. The XBOX controller is murder by the way Ifirst noticed how annoying it was playing Vice City, you can use ps2 controllers on it any via a adaptor.
