PES4 R2 Dilema

One thibg i am stuck on in pro, is how to play. In Pro Evo 3, i used to press :x: then :R2: for a player who has just passed to make a forward run, helping my passing moves. However in PES4, pressing R2 is to difficult to do after a pass, due to the new passing system, as a result, i now press :L1: during every short pass i make to make the players make forward run ons. Hoever by doing this :L1: :x: combination, it is impossible to play a first time through ball with :triangle: to another player, as the computer automatically thinks i want to do a 1-2 and through balls it to the player who as just passed. I can rectify this problem, by pressing r1 and r2 after :L1: and :x: to cancle the 1-2, howver it is difficult doing all thes button combos in a match. Do i overcomplicate things?

HOW DO YOU LOT PLAY PRO? DO YOU PRESS L1 AFTER EACH SHORT PASS?

P.S The goalkeeper animation when they come out for 1 on 1's is superb!!!

Not sure what your problem is mate. R2 works the same as in PES3 to me.
Maybe it's your controller?

the r2 works, it is just trickier to tap x and then r2 to make a forward run due to new passing system. i have to use l1 now.

yeah. the players have delayed runs with r2 and sometimes it doesn't work. with pes3 i used to pass and press r2 so freely. it was much easier to use.
