you have to stop you're player with :R2: ...
when he is still just press the d-pad twice in the direccion you want to use the feint...
For example if you want to do it to the right you have to push right twice.... This has to be done very quickly and it only works if you are totally still...

So, if you're going from left to right, just stop the player (with "hold R1"), leave all buttons, hold R2 and double tap up or down on d-pad.

But it's not very useful because the defenders respond rarely to it.

You can do that only with specific players like Maradona, Recoba... (weak foot acc. 3 or less).
For example, with Recoba, when you're going from left to right, be on the right side on the pitch (like in my video) and when you get in line with the penalty spot (or just before) press square and aim for opposite corner of the goal. Player will do it automatically.
